Getting into no poo. I got some no poo questions:

1) Can you put anything in your hair while showering?
2) How long does it take to cope with the itching?
3) Can male redheads with a round face pull off no poo?

>> No.6413726

no poo is a troll to give people acne

have not gotten any acne around my scalp, forehead, or neck before or after no poo, it doesnt make a difference

>> No.6413759

I used nothing but hot water and a scalp massage for seven weeks.

A few days ago I used baking soda as shampoo and apple cider vinegar as conditioner. Stripped all natural oils out of my hair and left it real soft for a day... haven't done it since because it's easier to style without it.

you probably couldnt get acne if you tried

for other people, no poo just means rolling around all night with your face on a pillow soaked in sebum and oil from your nasty ass hair, which makes people break out

its p simple m80

This.

Fuck you /fa/. Last year, I missed out on the chance of a lifetime with a qt just because I had acne on my forehead. You know what was causing it? That fucking troll "no-poo" shit.

Here's a picture.

Sorry about those of you that got acne. I used to have it pretty bad... this didn't cause any breakouts.

>> No.6413796

As a guy with thick dry hair, no poo works. Shampoo dries out my hair even more and causes it to poof out. No poo makes it at least sort of resemble normal human hair.

You're better off without that shallow bitch.

OP, forget this no poo shit.
either get a decent, high quality shampoo
or wash your head with plant oil soap and conditioner (if you're poor)

these are hands down the best options you have if cheap shampoo doesnt work for you. all those no-poo house remedy bullshit tips aren't good at all. Do yourself a favor.

My hair used to be wire-ish and dull so I started getting it dyed and caring for it with Wella products and now my hair is healthier than it's ever been and growing pretty fast/long. It's only at certain salons and Ulta's sometimes, so maybe try it out? ($20-$25 a small bottle but worth it) Or just try not using shit men's brands like AXE shampoos or cheap salon brands?

Unfortunately no. Best I can do is give you a description of it.
Before no poo it was frizzy and not quite a fro but not quite regular hair. it was impossible to style and god forbid you try to run a comb through it.
After no poo it is softer, combs can sort of be ran through it, and it can be styled and isn't as frizzy.

Thanks, anon. How long did it take to soften your hair?

I'll say it was about a month or so before I started noticing any difference.
I should also mention that I still use conditioner.

did you use conditioner before?
