Any type of conditioning will darken boots. I used Obenauf's and they darken a bit more than mink oil does. I actually wished mine were lighter. They started off pretty dark.

I've seen a white pair go for 30,000 yen, ill link next time I see some. I hunt the jap auctions for random stuff. Lowest I've seen them go was 27,000 yen or so for the all black like yours. I also saw some KVA asymmetries go for 11,000 yen yesterday which I thought was pretty damn cheap
