this is a good question. you have to take in account that art works a lot like branding.

take rubens for example. he had some kind of art factory, just signing the paintings his workers did. as expected, they sold expensive. had the original worker signed it, this is quite unlikely.

this goes for many, many artists.

real art does not need to be signed as real artists don’t see a need for signing any more.

Just a heads-up there has been some issues with the basic line of Herschell. You can recognize them by the red lining and the materials. For instance the one you posted is made out of thin polyester with pleather straps whilst the 'premium' ones are made out of canvas with leather detailing.

Not only the materials differ but also the build quality. The cheaper ones have problems with ripped lining, loose stitches etc. They aren't nearly as durable. If i were you i'd invest the extra 30 euros and go for a canvas one. We used to return the cheap ones by the dozens.
