Not necessarily roomy, it just looks more like an exaggerated sneaker than the Geo, which borders on boot-like as another anon has said. It's got that layer of trim around the toe box that I associate with old AirForce 1's and the sole is thick in a pleasing way. The curve is nice, i think it adds to the exaggerated feel of the shoe.
