essentially here's the story

during the spring summer 2013 saint laurent show (the first show since hedi's appointment to creative director to YSL) cathy wasn't invited to the show, which was a big deal because it was one of the most important events of the season and horyn is, of course, a pretty big figure who should've of course been permitted.

hedi banned her from the show because of an article she wrote YEARS back that calmly stated that the progenitor of hedi's slim tailoring came from raf simons. hedi took issue to this, and held a grudge so long that he banned her from the SL SS13 show.

this, in turn, prompter cathy to write a scathing, dismissive review of the show, which in turn prompted hedi to bizarrely call her out on it and brand her a "bully", which in turn ignited the shitstorm of horyn v. slimane

Dior Hedi era was so much better, the SL stuff just doesn't cut it. The design used to feel current or at least futuristic with a sleek tailored edge now he's really just appropriated his idea of grunge and rocker chic with retarded price tags. Like $800 for a flannel shirt? $68,000 for the Baby Doll Dress? There nice things in his collection though especially the leather pieces, in fact the nice pieces are basically the carry overs from Dior or just staples you can't get wrong anyway but the new collections and feel as a whole are a failure so to speak. I don't think the idea of the skinny silhouette is going to leave as anytime soon but looking the aesthetic ignoring the silhouette is out.
