I thought Docs where always a little roomy, I got mine a full size lower than normal.
I think insole and thick socks might work. The first few weeks you'll want to wear thick socks anyway (or thin socks under thick socks) because of the excruciating walk-in period.
Return if you can though, I don't think the shipping-costs would be high enough to warrant having to wear ill-fitting boots that last a long time.
