Whoever owns the server needs to purchase a new domain name. The current one is pretty silly with respect to relevance to the board.

Buy a new one, align the DNS, forward requests for tuxbell to the new domain name. Then you can be taken seriously.

CHILE STORES & PLACES TO BUY AT
(Santiago)
Barrio Lastarria (http://www.barriolastarria.com/tiendas_ropa_vestuario_barrio_lastarria.php): Low-Medium. Local designers sell their collections here. Most garments are one or two of a kind. Jewelry can be the most expensive thing to purchase.
Apumanque (http://www.apumanque.cl/): Mall/Fast Fashion-Low. Most clothes are Made in China, but it offers a great variety of stores for all age ranges. The stores Ansonia and TODOPIEL carry nice shoes.
Costanera Center (http://www.costaneracenter.cl/): Mall/Fast Fashion through Medium. Almost all of the big American clothing brands are here, but most stores carry scraps that couldn't be sold elsewhere. Quality:Price may not be good, buy at your own discretion.
Patronato (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrio_Patronato): Mall/Fast Fashion-Low. Santiago's fashion district by default. Prices are a fraction than what they are in richer areas of the city. Great for alternative clothing (goth, Indian, Chinese, Korean, etc.)
Providencia Street: Mall/Fast Fashion-Low. Its popularity has increased in the last couple of years thanks to stores like Nostalgic, Vintage and Cazadora, which offer an alternative to mall clothes (not really but they aren't as bad). Also home to second hand clothing stores like Orange Blue and European Clothes.
Barrio Bandera: Second-Hand Tier. All clothes are second hand. Gotta have the patience to look through mountains of dirty clothes but I assure you it's worth it when you find something cool.
Barrio Bellavista (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrio_Bellavista): Low-Medium. Hipster neighborhood that's been on the rise since 2000. Also has plenty of national designers and lapizlazuli jewelry stores. Careful with street vendors.
All other malls: Mall/Fast Fashion through Medium. More regurgitated fashion trends from last year.

Don't miss: wool products from La Ligua, which are good tier for a very affordable price.

Because I changed that column from tiers to price points which makes way more sense, and artisanal isn't a price point. Maybe the rest of the wiki should conform because it makes much more sense of maybe Canadians will be the only ones that have a shopping page that you can sort by price instead of by some ridiculous "tier" list.

4chan is would wide

what dollar are you taling about?!

julius is cheaper in japan than it is at atelier
levis are cheaper in america than in europe

and everything is cheaper in americathan it is in aus.

>> No.6276536

>>6276521
why is the tier list ridiculous
it emphasizes actual quality over random prices

certain places have inflated prices, for example jcrew isn't that good but their stuff is mid priced. In tiers, its classed as low, but in prices, it would be medium.

The reason the artisanal tier existed wa secause there was a difference between it and high. If there was only a high everything from CDG/Acne to boris/CCP would be in one tier, which is a GROSS oversimplification.

>> No.6276562

>>6276532

Julius is considered a high price point all over the planet bruv

even something like UC which I think has the most hometown discrepancy of any JP street brand price wise is still consider high in Japan

You don't even need to set price ranges to define because it's usually pretty obvious.

I only used the already existing tier names which worked fine: low, medium, high. if somewhere was mid-high (like most diffusion lines) or low-medium (slightly nicer than cheap) i specified in the description.

>why is the tier list ridiculous

you almost answered it yourself with that post

because price points are concrete, tier lists are debateable. everyone defines them differently. what if order my list by quality? rick owens is going in shit tier and he better deal with it. what if i order my list by what will get me laid? okay, can goose and lacoste is going in god tier. you want to define it by vision? i think any designer with a perfume is a sell out and going in low tier.

don't agree with my tier lists? tah-dah we've reached the conclusion that sorting by price makes infinitely more sense and is a hundred times more useful. more people have a budget than care about tier lists.

>> No.6276588

>>6276575
its not just quality, its aesthetic value too. It only breaks down if we limit the value of the product to one attribute like you are, or use opinions in the tiers. Please re-read my bit about j crew and the difference between acne and higher up stuff

>> No.6276605

>>6276575

>> No.6276610

Let the person browsing the wiki define for themselves what they consider shit and god tier.

I can already see how this stupid system pans out, everything dark and edgy ends up in masterful artisan masterpiece tier and stuff that's just expensive and looks cool ends up in high tier with D&G. You're right that my system overgeneralizes but it's a fucking store directory. You have a million other pages to "educate" the consumer and fill their heads with what you or the "voice of /fa/" or whatever you want to call it considers god and shit tier.

I'm not going to say it again because I'm on my lunch break and about to peace for 8+ hours: price point works better and makes more sense on the store directories. If you really want to curate it how bout you just don't allow crappy stores on the directory? I deleted Club Monaco for exactly that reason, because it's a waste of time and even if you're broke there are better options.

I noticed the Aus list actually had awful stores exclusively for warning people about them, that works too but this whole tier list business is retarded.

>> No.6276618

>>6276610
I don't even like dark/edgy stuff, it's not my fault more of the well designed stuff is in that direction now. High tier is for people who want nice clothes, its not BAD because its high, obviously. I personally have never had any intention to buy anything in the artisanal tier. Removing club monaco is your personal preference, it isnt "crappy", its just low-tier. They have alright stuff when sales happen. There are people interested in the lower end of the spectrum who would be interested in it, just like there would be people on the higher end who would benefit from the separation of artisanal. YOUR perspective isn't the only one. Please don't enforce your personal opinions on the wiki, its for people of all demographics, not just yours.

>> No.6276627

Ted Baker is pretty poor in terms of quality and stuff.

It's a bit stupid to put it in the same tier as Reiss and Kafka and stuff.

>> No.6276639

>>6276610
Why not just use two, three or more columns?
Price, Price/Quality, Style etc.
I agree, the current list is somewhat useless - I don't give a shit how Artisanal and (n)edgy(n+2)me something is, I just want to find the cheapest shop that sells Yohji.

>> No.6276644

>>6276627
Similar price points though. Wouldn't it be better to sort by price then write in the comments section about it's quality? More objective sorting that way.

>> No.6276648

>>6276639
less than half of the listed stores conform to one "style"

you can just check the descriptions, try gilt or guyi consignment. Plus, anything that sold yohji would automatically be put in high anyways, because high starts at around mr. porter territory currently

>> No.6276652

I think it's perfect as it is, I'd just nominate Ted Baker to the same level as Topman/Zara/H&M

>> No.6276660

>>6276652
Why would you sort by quality though? People look for different things in different clothes. Quality may be important to some but not to others, at least price is a universal value that everyone can appreciate. Any other factors that may differentiate brands can be written about.

>> No.6276666

Design and aesthetic value are completely subjective though. And build quality isn't necessarily what everyone ranks brands by. If you judge by those 3 factors where does Rick Owens go? Fair enough it may be considered with high design and aesthetic but the build quality is wank as fuck.

Order by price should definitely stay. Maybe the addition for separate columns for different attributes like the ones you listed?

What rambles my jammies is that a mod showed up saying he needed a pic for the sticky then vanished.

I think there's a little too much thought going into the whole "tiers" thing. It was originally tiered by price, and I think that's the way it should stay. The subjective nature of other factors makes it hard to accurately describe a store in a few columns, and I'd rather not have a simple 'stores' list end up a clusterfuck because there are a million columns. but that's just
imo
