I measured a pair of 510's I have that i absolutely love in terms of fit, and it's as follows
Waist 32”
Rise 9 ¾”
Thigh 10 ¾”
Knee 7”
Inseam 30 ¾”
Leg 6”
How much should I size up or down with Naked and Famous though? I imagine I probably want to size down at least 1, but how much do they tend to shrink after a wash?

Check Blueowl for measurements. You lose about an inch in the thighs for SG, so if youre WGs were snug dont go for it.

yeah, the fabric is really interesting. It started out dark dark blue with little white neps all over the place, but over time, the areas of high wear started to get more of a slubby texture. I'm really interested to see how they look in a year or two, assuming they last that long.

yeah, STFs are probably the best jeans you can get for $50 in terms of quality. The cut doesn't really suit skinny frames that well, but they make superb workwear.

They size them down because they shrink, so if you plan to wear them without washin ever get 30, if you are going to wash them get 31-32 depends on the cut you get. Also if you want them short for 31, get tapered variants. Most of their denim is sanfronized so it wont shrink much, but yeah it will still shrink with washes.

Yeah, I'd recommend getting tts as well. I bought a pair at marshalls for twenty some dollars just to try them out. Not bad. And the button fly looks really nice after the soak compared to a similarly priced zip fly. I never wear them, though, because they're too baggy for me.

Same. Obviously, they make me look like a dad (my beard really doesn't help matters), so I relegate my 501s to manual labor, hiking and hangovers.

I imagine getting them tapered before the first soak would eliminate most of the problems I have with the fit. Personally, I don't mind the high rise. It only looks dorky if you tuck your shirt in.

Only 4 months of wear but I've worn them every single day. I also hike and skateboard/longboard in them. They've got the fades of a 6 month pair and the fades on the seat is the same as a 1 year+ pair.

Just soaking them in the tub for about an hour. Luke warm water with a bit of soap. I'm also putting them in the dryer when they're done cause I really need them to shrink as much as possible.
