Classy student goth here. Its all about coats and shirts. Try and go with a white linen shirt with a double breasted black coat. If you want something more casual, Ben Sherman is the way to go. For a descent coat, you might have to fork out £90 though. If that's too expensive, try places like Next or somewhere like that. You may even find a gem if you trawl through some of the thrift shops. Avoid band/graphic tees etc. A longish hair style dyed black sets the look on fire too.

Black boots and if you can Doc Martens.
Lots of shirts, maybe black with a red tie or White with a bow tie or something.
A long black coat (Can get one for under £70 on Next)
Dye your hair, mine has been black, purple and is currently red.
Lots of necklaces, not chains, like rope with pendants.
If you're brave go for some light black eyeliner.
