Most people don't consider whether they are fashionable or not. Or if they do, they are aware they they aren't particularly fashionable regardless of what they are trying to achieve.

Those guys in the pic do look like they are trying though.

Nah I think everyone wants to look good. Even fatties you see going around in skinny jeans because they know it's the trend. I do think everyone is trying, but most people have shit color coordination from lack of experience mostly, and furthermore they don't realize how important a good fit is.

Visvim transcends fashion, it's a lifestyle brand. Hiroki's lifestyle.
But in all honesty, it's heritage outdoorswear with a strong influence from Techwear, japanese outdoorswear/workwear influenced streetwear like white mountaineering and engineered garments, heritage menswear and heritage workwear, and a large amount of influence from various cultures, in particular native american indian and japanese culture.
Just stick to "perfection".

visvim is a good mix of relaxed and tighter fits, pre universal tbh.

i kinda feel like you need to really jump and go full visvim to look great tho

>>6253302
The Visvim lookbook really do offer some fantastic fit, Sune who models for Tres Bien also shows off some fantastic fits for taller guys as he's 6"2
http://tres-bien.com/brand/visvim/
As for first purchases, I only own one piece of Visvim at the moment, but it's the same style I'd recommend to you: a pair of boots. A good pair of Visvim goodyear welted boots are fantastic value for money and will last you an inordinate amount of time. Outerwear is a great bet as well, especially a kilgore or a 101 jacket. Happy travels!

i dont get it. why is visvim apparently only known for being an expensive clothing line? there are plenty of other more expensive brands out there, its not the same par as any premium jap brands like monitaly or nanamica but visvim is almost always considered 'better' for some reason

Cop 2nd-hand off sufu or Yahoo Japan auctions, it's not rocket science, you get it around 30% cheaper. Also, you know Visvim now ships almost everywhere from its webstore now, even though the range is quite small, right?

Monitaly is really yuki's pet project based around heritage outdoorswear while Nanamica are smart takes on a more prep/heritage look, but Visvim culminates so many different influences and creates such a fantastic product that it stands above the pack of other Japanese streetwear mavericks. It's a case where spreading yourself relatively thin can be a good thing.

wow, you are stupid

this is fashion, not fine art. garments have to be handled, worn etc to be fully appreciated, especially when it comes to this one - that you're drooling all over. calling the brand 'perfect' and waxing lyrical when you own 1 pair of shoes is retarded

There are these things call boutiques that stock clothing for sale and you can try them but you're not necessarily obligated to buy them, you should try walking into one sometime. I mean, for me, a Visvim Flagship is like 4 hours drive away.

You're working against yourself here, which is sort of inevitable when you're trying to argue that no one can have an opinion on a clothing line they don't own. How many people on /fa/ are usually dressed in Raf Simons Rick Owens? Shit, how many professional fashion critics do you think have racks of Rick sitting in their closet? The show is considered an acceptable form of presentation of clothing.

Paintings, on the other hand... look, I'm a big proponent of the electronic image, but for all it can do and all the awesomeness of mechanical reproduction for mechanical process art, looking at even an appropriately sized, top quality repro print of a painting isn't the same. But what you're willing to cede to him is that a physical experience of a Rothko is irrelevant, while still maintaining you absolutely have to have a closet stuffed with Visvim?

For the record, guys, I've got a Rothko on all six surfaces of my bedroom, Raf Simons Rick Owens usually what I'm dressed in, but with Visvim boots and a T&A oxford underneath, and two Patek Phillipes over the jacket sleeve on each wrist. Three are set to GMT, because I am a globetrotter, but one is set for Paris, because Paris has my heart and contains my true foursome loves Rick and Michele, and Karl, natch.

Oh, and jacket's stuffed with fake passports, handbound sole editions of limited run books, and sandwiches made on Poilane slices with the crust cut off by my valet Lionel. SO I KNOW MY SHIT.

Come the fuck on.
