Afternoon /fa/mily

I start as an intern for a fancy London based graphic design company in a week or so. I need to look all poppin' fresh and employable.

Your challenge is to point me to some key pieces which should be in my wardrobe. I'd like to move away from standard black dress, black trousers, blazer, shirts etc. something a little more pic related would be nice.

Taking a minute to register that there is nothing I hate more in the world of fashion than the double-bind, crosstalked-to-shit, deeply fucked in its attitudes towards women and the world, how-many-inches-of-leg-on-the-head-of-a-pin talk about what's "appropriate" or "professional" or whatever for women to wear at the office. All of it can burn in a bundle of HR managers.

It is seriously one of, if not the, main reasons I avoid office work. Who wants to deal with this shit?
