depends on the type of fabric, but usually the stuff you find at jobbers is partially used, anywhere from 10-60 or so. but jersey would be cheap from a jobber in that range, however you have to check for damage. so 60 yards at 3 a yard would be 180, which is way more than you need. get 20 yards to fuck with.
