"minimal techno" peaked in the mid noughties and for years has been synonymous with overproduced , overly bright/loud clubby tracks with lots of swinging rimshots/bells/tech house loops/crescendos and crap -- since the noughties, amateurs have been trying to do what the now washed up, out of fashion m_nus label & the like were doing 7 years ago -- and not as well.
