But it's kind of true, none of the foods you listed are that high in calories other than peanut butter which is still not ideal because the fat and protein content makes it very filling.

If you want to gain weight you need to firstly focus on eating three decent meals every day, if you do that and still don't see decent weight gains then add in full fat milk, a gallon a day is traditional but that's only a good idea if you combine it with intense exercise including weightlifting, if you can't drink milk then instead consume some form of rapidly digesting carbohydrates or some type of mass gainer drink

The reality, that only a minority in the broscience infested world of fitness know, is that high calories will get you a very small improvement in gains and a very large increase in fat. I know from experience, and I'm the "ecto" that they say doesn't have to worry about that. Once I wanted to lose that weight, the strength gains went with it. The harsh reality is that your potential is mostly genetic. People who had a large potential and worked hard to meet their potential don't like to hear that what separates them from others is not the hard work they put in but rather their genes, but that's the truth as can be seen by people who have done the same as them but not had the same gains.

A big part of the aesthetic of it will be your proportions. Another part is understanding that SOME girls dig the skinny guy look while some prefer that middle range cut-yet-slim, some like beefcake, and some only attach to these ideas because the guys rocking it are hot-faced and high status.

Don't obsess over pleasing everybody. Find the look and body type that you prefer and feel best in, strive towards perfecting it, and the girls you want to attract will love you more and more.

Hungry skeleton mode is retarded, especially for males in the 18-30 range. You need adequate calcium and weight-bearing exercise during this period to strengthen your bone mass. Not doing so can result in osteoporosis and other conditions caused by weak bone mass later in life.
