girls, do you wear shorts in the summer, pants, skirts?

honestly i hate how regular denim shorts look. i find them all to be too short, making them look really trashy. i've tried on so many from every store. i only really like the high waist style if i had to choose, but i dont like how short they are... and i dont like long shorts or chinos because i think they look ugly.
i dont have a summer wardrobe, so im trying to build one.
so far all i've bought are skirts. is it weird to only wear a skirt everyday over the summer?
i dont really want to be wearing jeans because it gets hot, and its so much easier to just throw on a skirt with some flats, and i prefer skirts over dresses... no idea why.
i just dont want too look like a tryhard or anything if i wear a skirt everyday...

I totally agree with you. I was flipping through some mall store catalog that came in the mail at my sister's house the other day and these girls have their asses literally hanging out of their shorts; and it's being advertised as the 'cool summer look.'

I'm like, 'I can literally see a part of your ass.'

My 17-year-old self would find that hot. But I honestly would have nothing to do with a girl like that aside from very drunken sex today.

Don't settle, OP. If you realize thos, then you are mentally above the majority of girls; that's awesome. The physical is easy. Look around. I know nothing about female fashion, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.
