How do I /fa/ without looking tryhard?

I want to try out these shoes, because I like the way they look, but I can't figure out what else looks good with them.

Try a peacoat and some khaki chinos.

>> No.6163520

Jeans and a T-shirt. They're just DB's, it's not like you're taking any leaps and bounds here. You're scaring yourself by thinking they'll look try hard. Just wear them, they're just shoes. As long as your fits are good, you can pull off damn near anything.

>>6163496
I was the same way OP. Thought the boot would be too try hard. Just make sure your fits are good and wear them with jeans ( i go black or dark blue) and a solid colored top. Easy as that. I get compliments from my friends all the time.

Get beeswax clarks and only wear them with pants.

Once you realize how easy this shit is you will start branching out more.

It is for a rugged fit that shorts have no place on, but whatever works for you I guess. Remember if you think it looks good, so will others.

I love my CDBs. Had them for nearly a year, worn the hell out of them, they still look fine. I wear them every other day. My only regret is wearing them in nightclubs where they get drinks spilled on them. They can be a pain in the ass to care for, considering that they are suede and don't react well to moisture.

>> No.6164050

I can relate to OP question. I've been dropping sizes and had to pick up some interim shit. Actually picked up the beeswax dbs and some jeans and was thinking about around here it only really takes a pair of boots and the wrong cut of dark jeans to look real tryhard where I live. Or for example I can't pull off the boots with shorts yet I don't think.

OP if you feel good and comfortable when you leave the house you'll be good. If you look in the mirror on the way out and feel awkward you can just change one or two things and you'll probably be feeling better.

How's Nebraska treating you, Anon?

>> No.6164077

OP, get the boots. I got my first pair of CBDs in Beeswax about 6 weeks ago, been wearing the since. At first, I was a little self conscious, but since then I've loved them. I wore them with dark indigo Jeans, with the cuffs rolled up, but I recently started tucking the jean into the boots and have gotten a fair bit of compliments on both, but more "he looks cool" looks after tucking them in.
I plan to get a pair of Navy Suedes and Desert Mali Beeswax before the end of the year.
As mentioned, I usually wear them with Dark Indigo jeans, but they go with most pants and most outfits really. I was thinking of switching out the laces for a pair of red laces; saw a dude on the subway who did that with his Beeswax and wore blue chino's and a white V-neck with it. Looked mad fresh.

I think OP is a girl?
I would call a man gay if he wore them with shorts.

I like yours better than the truth. But yeah just looking good and understated stands out enough for now, I've got about another 8% body fat to go and a bunch of basics to reassemble to worry about getting stuff I might not be comfortable rockin yet.

do you guys size down your DBS?

Also the people that say shit like played out are just sneaker heads. DBs and Wallabees are a classic like cons, they never go out of style. TFW been wearing em since 1995 and saw Liam Gallagher wearing them, lolling at the fuccbois thinking they're smart for saying shit like "2010?"
