I have extremely thick and heavy hair and it's really hard to style as I find most products too greasy or they just don't have enough hold. Could you recommend a decent product to achieve a toned down version of the style in your picture please?

Assuming you know how to make peoples heads look good: I have a big forehead and light blonde eyebrows which can look like they're not there at all in the right light, thus making my forehead look even bigger and making me look weird as fuck.

Because of this i've always rocked a fringe, but i wouldn't mind having a pushed back haircut, if it weren't for my eyebrows.

Is there a way around this, or a simple/easy way of dying eyebrows?
Also what colour should i dye them if my hair is gingery blonde

It is mostly genetics. It's very rare you will find someone with hair like in the picture.
It is possible to get close to that though. If your hair is quite curly I recommend you lightly straighten it first.
If not, make sure hair is towel dried, and damp. Then apply a hair styling cream.

Don't be afraid to mix products. That's what professionals do. Add a little clay to give it a firm hold, and a little pomade for shine.

>>6152705

Honestly I think it's going to be something that throws back to the 80s. Hair is influenced by pop culture, 80s is in right now. Lots of volume, and shine. Something that stands out but not too crazy. But with a modern twist, lot's of sharp and precision blending to create a nice shape, and lot's of texture.
Something similar to pic related.

>>6152714

Research products for thick hair. Sadly you're never going to achieve it fully, but you can come close. Thin you hair out as much as you can.

Try using firm hold products, your clays, your fibres etc. Mix them with a product that adds shine and definition.

>>6152712
Once. It's pretty straight forward. Lots of cut throat razor work to texture the hair. Then straighten it. And throw in some matte product with a strong hold.

>> No.6152743

>>6152719

I've never done this myself, but I once knew hairdressers who tinted eyebrows.
I would have them a shade darker than your hair, without the ginger.

I would first try flicking your hair up into a quiff, but having it off to the side, gently brush along the surface of your hair to make it sit comfortably and hang over your forehead.

It can be. You often get people coming in with head lice and shit.
There are people that don't wash their hair for weeks and smell like vinegar.

Chemical relaxing. It's expensive though and it doesn't last very long.

You could also try coconut oil treatment and brushing it flat with a flat brush.
Other than that, there's nothing much you can do. It's the shape of the hair follicle that dictates hair texture. Something that cannot be changed.

Basically you don't use shampoo to wash your hair under the logic that washing your hair to stop it being greasy creates a vicious cycle where your hair produces more grease to compensate for the constant washing. Eventually your hair is supposed stop being greasy but i tried it and after around 2 weeks i started getting spots where my hair touched my face so i gave up.

It doesn't really matter. Shampoos containing natural ingredients are much better for your hair anyway.

Your hair should be at 4.5 - 5.5 pH. It will be higher or lower depending on what you've done to it. EG: Dyed hair will be higher. So you'' want to balance it out with a cleansing shampoo.
But the effects and benefits are hardly noticeable.

>>6152787

Unless your hair is naturally greasy/oily, use coconut shampoo on that bitch to keep it soft and manageable. Coconut conditioner. Coconunt/almond oil treatment twice a week too.

Everything coconut.

It will not grow faster. Hair grows in phases and points some strands of hair will stop growing. All you can do is wait and hope that they start growing again. There's nothing you can do.

Wash it, towel dry it until it's damp, then use a round brush to blow dry it on a low heat. Make sure you curl your hair around the brush. The blast it off with cold hair from the dryer to set the hair in place. It should be relatively curly after that, you can then twist with your fingers and even use a good mousse to help.

Hello OP, I have thin hair with little to no volume.
I also have a four-finger hairline, long hair on the top and short on the sides and back.

The shape of my hair is somewhat like fig.1 when I comb it back and on the sides, except that my hair is much more straight.
When I comb it on the front, it kinda looks like fig.2, with a bit less volume obviously.

The thing is, I have no idea how to do my hair.
Pomade often isn't strong enough, spray makes it stay but it doesn't make it manageable.
When I wait 2 or 3 days before washing it, and then finally wash it, my hair looks fuller and feels better.
I use American Crew hair thickener shampoo.

Have you ever dealt with hair like mine ? Do you have any advice on my haircut and the way I should prepare it ? I've tried everything.

Thanks

Sorry to say it man, but you shouldn't straighten your hair. It's destined to frizz. Afro hair is extremely curl a coarse so if you really wanted, you could chemically relax it. But don't straighten it.
Just get a skin fade man, it's classy and looks good.

>>6154063
Keep it nice and short on the sides. If you're looking to style it, go with short to long on top. Use a strong product with mild shine.

The face shape in the picture is very square. So yeah, it would suit it very well.

>>6154078
You have a good sense of style. It's just a little too long at the sides to suit your face shape. Take her down shorter at the sides, I'd say grade 1 blended up into a 4 the connect the sides to the top with a uniform layer going round. But keep the length.

Just simply ask to blend the top to the sides, they'll get it.
I would taper that bitch at the back too.

>>6154086
Crew cut. But lots of length on top so you can brush it up have it messy.

>>6154089
You hair is wavy and the growth patters don't really suit that length.

Take some length off. Go for something classic. I'll say it again, side parting never goes out of style.
Ask your barber to point cut at your fringe to try and ease/remove the waves and kinks.

>>6154092
It's up to you man. But long hair really works best with some stubble and tanned skin. But it's not always a guarantee you can bull it off.

Women don't find long hair attractive unless you have godly facial aesthetics. That's a fact. You can conduct experiments on how wet they get and the report back.

You should go for a classic cut. But your face is quite narrow, so have some volume on the sides. Classic side parting, it works.

Your hair is fine, so you want something with a light hold that doesn't clump together. Try wax or pomade. Failing that, putty.

>>6154410

You're an 'ansome cunt m8

>>6154423

Gotta be done man. Shave the beard, you have good facial aesthetics, don't hide it behind a bit of fluff.

Well if you want to go with what's in right now, go for an undercut, tapered into a V at the back of the head.

If you want something classic, stick with your current parting, just tidy it up.
You've got a nice head of hair. Don't ruin it.

>>6154454
A good pomade, and fine, manageable hair.

>>6154491

Go shorter on the back and sides. Shorter or keep the length on top. What ever floats your boat.

>>6154555
Any kid from the church choir. Take your pick.
>3 big styles right now

-Short back and sides - parting/quiff
-Undercut
-Disconnected top

They're popular for a reason. Because they look good. Take advantage of this.

>Hair dye
Salons/barbers use tones and shades to colour hair. Research 'Wella colour chart' if you're looking to dye your hair.

>Beards

The only beards that are in style are:
-Balbo
-Stubble
-Full beard

Pic related is me. I'm growing out my hair so it looks pretty shit.
I'll return soon /fa/. Good luck.

>pros
Natural oils are good for your hair (to an extent) and styling

>Cons
It's unhygienic
It smells
It's disgusting
It's greasy

Sebum is the oil, the same shit that gives you oily skin. Too much of it and its unhygienic, and you'll get acne. A lot of people have over active sebaceous glands, and secrete too much sebum. It's not good for hygiene. "No poo" is a troll.

Shampoo merely lifts away dirt and excess oil. It doesn't dry anything out unless you buy the wrong product.

Conditioner restructures the cuticle and cortex and cleanses properly.

Condition every other day. Shampoo every day for a healthy, clean head of hair.

If you want to feel the benefits of no 'poo without being disgusting, using coconut oil on your hair twice a week.

You said people can't cut their own hair well, but they'res a poster here (mike) who does it really well in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV19i44R74o

Do you have any comments about this?

>> No.6155172

>>6155139

It looks decent.

But the fact is you can only achieve basic hair cuts like this. More advanced techniques you need a skilled barber.

Eg: blending. The blending in the video is very poor, and the overall shape of the cut was poor. Quality blending is achieved with scissor/clipper over comb. You cannot do that yourself.

Also. People would not take that video seriously if the guy was not good looking. A lot if haircuts piggy back off of facial aesthetics.

Also it might not seem that way but my hair is pretty good genetic wise. It's straight/wavy and it's very flexible.
