the thing is that it's all the less popular pieces, but they're not necessarily bad. rick still put his name on them for a reason, and even though you're not getting geos you might end up happy with something you buy from the sale because sometimes the beauty of a piece doesn't reveal itself immediately.

I'm not a rick fan (I acknowledge its visual interest but it's not 'my thing') but I have experience with other such gilt sales where the piece just has to grow on you.
