I'm looking for something similar to my pic here.

Basically what I want is high waisted formal/suit pants, which are bizarrely hard to find. The idea is to wear them with a waistcoat. There's nothing worse than wearing a waistcoat and having that break between where the waistcoat ends and the pants begin. It looks bad because the shirt, no matter how well fitting, is going to create seams and risks puffing out between waistcoat and pants.

So I'm looking for high waisted pants like so. Anyone know where online, or what sort of shops (I live in London) I should be looking in?

High waisted in particular though. I've been looking through a lot of the Ann stuff and it seems like it would have the same issue of break between pants and waistcoat.

High waisted pants like in my OP pic go ideally with a waistcoat because they maintain an unbroken line along the contour of your body, and keep your shirt tuck in in check.

I'm having difficulty finding any Ann pants that look like they would do that. I'd be more likely to wear those with an untucked tailored black dress shirt or something.

modern season ann is frequently kind of poor quality, especially for the price, but nice old season stuff moves in droves on fashion marketplaces, ebay, and in higher market thrift stores.
