What are your opinions on big pony polos?
I like them but I'm not sure if they'll make me look like a tool.

I don't like the big pony collection, but that's only because I don't have a keen interest in sports (the numbers on the shoulder) or neon. The 'dual match' or 'Blackwatch' polos look better.

If you must have one be sure it stands out with stripes, sash, embroidered flags or crests, something.

but Ralph Lauren (and GANT and Hillfiger and all the other frat boy brands) is shit nowadays...

The clothes are cheaply made in Asia and especially their signature polos feel like polyester curtains compaired to their thick quality shirts in the 90's

Nah, GANT is a good make they release good things sometimes.

I always read it as a commentary on branding slowly overtaking the garment. First time I saw one, I felt like the designer was acknowledging the fact that for many people, the branding IS the garment, in its near entirety.

It may make you look like a tool in the eyes of some people, but it can be pulled off if you have the right amount confidence and idgaf attitude.

I once wore a really obnoxios polo like that to a hipster art school party. I wasn't really friends with any of them, and they all gave me dirty stares like i was some fratboy who got lost or something. I didn't give two fucks about all those fuccbois there though, and i ended up making out with the cutest hipster girl and taking her home in front of everyone else. The fuccbois were jelly as fuck. Think what you want about polo, but it pulls the bitches no doubt
