How did this catch on so fast? A few months ago we were all like "haha, look at this silly forced meme" and now its just part of the lingo.

Iron Rangers are a decent quality boot and a good place to go if you don't want to spend a ton of money. They can be as dadcore as you like. They have a pretty smooth sole, so could be impractical for certain climates.

I love my Iron Rangers. It's kind of sad since online they're everywhere but out on the street you'll probably be the only dude rockin them.

Yeah isn't that weird? I live in Chicago and I've never seen a pair of Iron Rangers out in the wild. It's not like they're some kind of rare shoe either. Never seen any Alden boots either.

What shade of brown are we talking about here? Typically, I wouldn't wear Amber (they're essentially brown regardless of how you treat them/polish & waterproof them) with brown pants. But different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Not bad. If you're comparing this to the Iron Rangers, just note that there aren't any speed hooks and the toe isn't capped. Those are all up to personal preference but I really like both of those tbh.

Oak Street's Trench Boot is great, but keep in mind that it has a leather sole. The natural chromexcel is also less waxy/oily, so it won't be as protected. Still a great boot, just a little more on the classy side.

Just don't do the try-hard thing in OP pic. Failing to lace up your boots does not make you look laid back or care-free, and makes it very obvious that you do not intend to do any walking in those boots and are trying very hard to keep them from getting scuffed or worn by real-life shit. Also, don't fucking tuck your pants into them. They aren't the right boot for that, and you will look like a little kid wearing his dad's boots especially if you tuck and stack them like OP pic.

And for god's sake don't do that tumblrcore shit where you wrap the laces around the ankles of the boot because that was apparently more convenient than lacing them up properly. I don't get that, it makes creases and wrinkles in the leather and if you actually try to walk around with that your ankles will feel the laces digging in.

Not really comparable to IR. Totally different kind of style and purpose. 1k Miles are much dressier, and have leather sole, where as IR's are more work boot inspired and casual. General qualitywise there is not much difference.

I think Beckman would be the boot you would compare to 1k Miles when it comes to style, but even it has commando sole for practicality.

Service Boots are like 550 right now. Dayton quality isn't even all that though. It's a nice looking but but the quality is meh.
