I want to stop wearing bras. I have small breasts (2B), and I think my loose-fitting clothes would look better without them, like I would achieve a more drapey feel.

Should I just buy bras without padding? Or is it acceptable to not wear a bra? I wouldn't be wearing see-through shirts, but I have heard of people getting fired for not wearing bras, and I just got a respectable job. What to do?

op dont risk it, if your at work, your going to have to accept the fact that a bra is needed for work place etiquette. You know yourself if you can pull it off or not, just dont get hit by a cold breeze during work.

Anywere else if fine

If you're not at work, sure I guess.
Just make sure the material doesn't show the obvious.
When you're at work though, wear that shit.

If a bra feels restricting, you're not wearing the right size...

And for op
do it casually when you're wearing things that won't showcase your nipples. Otherwise think of get a soft molded cupped bra or a wireless one
it's probably the wire cup that's bother you

but also what is your bust and underbust measurements?
You're probably wearing the wrong size

Yeah you're probably right, I didn't occur to me that I could be wearing the wrong size. I got fitted at Victoria's Secret a while ago to be a 32B, and buy my bras from there, but I just realized that they're pretty ridiculous. The ones I have are super padded and are meant to make your boobs like as big as possible

>> No.5931407

>>5931397
victoria's secret is shit tier for measuring because if you fall outside their size range they'll just give you the size they have that's closest.

>> No.5931410

dress appropriately for work, bras without padding should be fine
otherwise just do whatever the fuck you want

also those of you saying to make sure you can't see the nipples nnnnnoooooo
it's dumb as hell that it's not socially acceptable for us to have our nipples showing through our shirt, but then you guys can walk around topless and no one would care ugh

Obviously you should wear a bra to work.

i didn't mean at work, i meant in situations where it would be socially acceptable for men to be shirtless
if i walk around without a bra in the summer, in a sundress that you can kind of almost see my nipples through everyone's all like "are you really gonna go out without a bra?" "ew a nipple, gross" and "please put a bra on"

Obviously I know places to buy bras, I'm asking for opinions and recommendations. The two malls closest to me have VS, JC Penney, Von Maur, and then stores like Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, etc. I'm looking for a place to get fitted, and I don't know that any of those stores do bra fittings

I go to Aerie sometimes but their bras no where near as comfortable as Victorias secret.
They have a lot more selection and much less padding, plus they're cheaper.

you should find a local store. not a corporation.
or just look it up on the internet and do it yourself.

get fitted at a specialty boutique that sells lingerie or do it yourself, big stores are useless

chances are if you're wearing 32b now you're probably going to be 30c or 28D anyhow and none of those retail stores are going to sell either of those sizes, you're going to have to buy for like $60+ online or from a boutique

and if you don't do that, seriously, stop getting the push up bras. They're fine if you're wearing the right size and actually add some extra support, but absolutely god awful if you have the wrong size. Get something totally unpadded I promise it will be more comfortable.

>> No.5935850

>>5931270
You don't need to wear a bra. Try wearing unlined bras (you can find them at most lingerie boutiques) and wireless "triangle-style" bras. Make sure no matter what wireless style you choose that you always have a distinction between your breasts. Although your breasts are small, it could look like you're wearing a training bra if you have "uniboob." If your clothes are fitting strangely with a bra, you could be wearing the wrong size. Consider getting measured at a non-Victoria's Secret store.

You can still wear sheer tops, but if you're actually skeptical, just wear wireless styles, for a more natural shape. For work, get a few t-shirt bras with light molded cups. It's not about limiting your choices or patriarchy, it's about respecting your employer. If one of your employees came into work with the crotch cut out of his pants, you wouldn't find he was representing your company in a very good way.

ain't no man be complainin about seeing yo nipples

>> No.5936244

I'm almost completely flat chested and I realized today that I don't even own a bra. But I think for a "respectable" job you should have something that will at least rein in your nipples. if nothing else.

Just in case
