OP, you wouldn't happen to know if this style top is a specific aesthetic style of Japan? The thick simple colors and lines. This is just a picture I saw of Ryuchi Sakamoto on last.fm but I remember seeing something similar in a picture of Yuichi Yokoyama, which is line with his visual art.
I was hoping I could find some shirts in this style for a reasonable price, or at least some examples so I can spray or screenprint some myself.

Yeah i came back to my thread and was surprised it was still going.

I made it so i could express my love for fashion from japan and expand on my sense of dressing the way in the photos. But my personal favourite styles are from the harajuku district and shinjuku, most of the pics i posted are from those areas.
I dont really like the subtle stuff, like i said i like the colorful-crazy-out there styles of dressing but thats just my preference and stuff.

Saying orientalism is definitely a bit of a stretch on my part. But the styles in Japan is as varied and different as the people themselves. Actually, I want to change that to Tokyo. Everywhere ('cept Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya and Fukuoka to an extent) is pretty much what you'd expect from any nation.
The issue I have is that "Japanese Fashion" is somewhat paradoxical. It's not a national thing, if it were it wouldn't be fashion but rather traditional costume. Jil Sander, Helmut Lang or Martin Margiela aren't creating German, Austrian or Belgium fashion, but rather simply fashion. There are fashionable cities (Paris, Milan, London, New York, Tokyo) but not fashionable nations.
e.g. in 80s Yohji and Rei's garments ignored conventional dress-making techniques. They were hard to pin down, as they didn't contain any overt aesthetic allusions. By contrast, the way they were written about was set up to tell a story of exotic Japan. It was firmly placed in a context of western orientalism.
Anyway, that's the way I see it.
