I'm not sure exactly how you compare quality in boots. They're about twice the price of Loake, so I'd assume they use better leathers and more time consuming moments spent on each shoe/boot.
Cheaney seems to be most comparable to Tricker's and Crockett and Jones slightly above them.
I have a pair of Loake, although I haven't had them long enough to pass a fair judgment, but I'll give some first thoughts once I receive the Cheaney's.

Structured or unstructered toe for you? I finally tried unstructured toe just to see what it's like and I'm not really a fan. It really doesn't look sleeker and it's annoying always having leather resting on top of the toes. It's not bad enough to make me stop wearing that pair, but the feeling is more noticeable than I was expecting.
