Multi-reply specialist. Canadian. Gay. Only posts about his own watches. Very repetitive posts. Has several obscure Omegas only he cares about. Notorious for samefagging. Obsessed with BitterAnon.

>Whoretadello
Balding Greek living in Germany. Has a tendency of buying too large watches for his small wrist. Cleans cars for a living. Has a Tudor, Homos, and some Seikos. Life currently falling apart. Responds by getting more material things and falling in love with strippers. Excellent at ban evading.

>Citizen drunk/Finncel
25% Finnish, 50% Swedish, rest is a mystery. Lives in Finland. Works as a shelver in a grocery store. Alcoholic. Only owns one watch, but posts a lot, mostly about alcohol or coins. Possibly immortal. Tragic case of gyno.

>Mortadello
Very positive and friendly, but doesn't post anything of any consequence. Lawyer. Obese. Posts improving photos of amazing watches. Lies about his age. Does not take criticism well.

On that kind of money and it needs to be a green dial, there is only one respectable choice. Breitling Superocean Heritage green dial with black bezel. Tudor movement. Superb finish and quality. Sure it's a bit of a Hulk cope but it's a fraction of the price.

If you want something out there, a JLC Polaris with green dial but it will be more expensive.

If not a diver, get the new IWC Mark XX with green dial. Great piece.

I would strongly recommend against this.
A lot of watchmakers will refuse to work on them because the hands are made brittle on purpose so they break when removed during service and need to be replaced. That way the only safe way to have your watch serviced is to send it to Breitling's slow and VERY sub-par repair centers who will also rape you with their pricing
>t. sent a 600 euro repair quote to a client this week for a fucking quartz service during which they don't even touch the movement, they replace it outright ; had a case last month of a Navitimer with a chrono hand that fell off and Breitling insisted it was absolutely necessary to do a full service and change the dial and change the glass for a total of 1500e

The hesalite version is "superior" imo, much warmer domed crystal and clearer dial, no milky ring from the sapphire. That said I for one haven't ever cared about exhibition casebacks. If you were at a Boutique: they do not bargain... and most ADs will not bargain more than maybe throw in a strap if you're buying the bracelet version etc. The Moonwatch is always a good seller so they don't really have to move units.

I would totally recommend buying from Omega at an Omega Boutique if there is one near you, it's a fantastic experience, otherwise at least buy from an AD. "Hand Wind Coaxial Chronograph" is a type of watch that only Omega makes, and so if something goes wrong you're going to want a legit warranty.

Either that, or buy a used 1861 Caliber moonwatch that's already out of warranty and pay 4.5kish instead of 7k for a new 3861 hesalite/8k for a new sapphire sandwich.

This is my first major watch purchase and I was kind of wanting to get new but wasn't willing to pay the $8900 after tax from the boutique. Was looking at omega site but went out of stock shortly after. Because they're the same and the plastic breaks more easily on impact.

The surface tension of the domed Hesalite crystal causes it to crack under pressure more quickly than Sapphire. This is evident by the fact that the Hesalite cracked in a nearly straight line across the middle during that video shown.
