Topicals will still go systemic in some degree, but the point of topicals is to minimize that happening. I personally would not even take minox orally at all due to its health risks (small possibility of building fluid sacks in your body and you will die), but topically has not been reported to have the same effects at all. Propecia is 27 years old. The chances that a person over 30 who knew about it and it took it at the right age to preserve what they have is low due to cost and access to information. Tried 1mg a fin a day for around 6 months. First month or two I noticed a boost to my energy levels (possibly because it reduced test conversion to DHT levels) until it eventually subsided, but after a couple months I noticed a decrease in sex drive and libido as well as some nasty brain fog. It's a blood pressure med, so you can get sides typical for these meds, of course over time sides will most likely go away because your body will try to adapt to the change in blood pressure.
5mg is generally safe, 10mg depends on how well your body tolerates the drug.

Lol, that's not how it works, no need to panic. Oral min is dose-dependent and also reliant on your genetic response to the drug, so 5-10mg is enough to determine whether it's worth the hassle after a few months of treatment. It's not that the drugs stops being effective, it's that your hair has a cap on how much growth it can experience at a specific dosage.

Has anyone here tried splitting 5mg fin into 5 pieces instead of 4?
I tried it today as an experiment, they came out unevenly sized but I'm still taking 5mg in a spam of 5 days, and the studies most of us have seen suggest that as little as .2 mgs will kill roughly the same amount of DHT as 1mg does. Now within those pieces I cut, and let's suppose the active ingredients are not 100% evenly distributed inside the 5mg pill, I'd say the smallest piece should not have a lower dose than .3 to .5mg, the latter of which many have had positive results with. What do you guys think? Should I just stick to 1.25 daily and not risk losing any ground?
