Probably Marly. PdM is just backwards Creed anyway. Creed is a line of mostly fresh designer fragrances at a niche price point. PdM is a line of mostly sweet designer style fragrances at a niche price point. Both of them have a make-believe date on their packaging that has nothing to do with the year the company was actually founded. They're both heavily royalty themed. Marly even does the 125/75 ml bottle sizes Creed did before the buyout. Really nice caps though.

I really like the smell of tattoo greensoap (PantheraXP) and I am trying to find something similar in a perfume form.

At least PdM isn’t directly lying about its origins, as they say that they’re *inspired* by historical Marly. And yes, it is misleading for someone who doesn’t look closer, but it’s still better than Creed’s downright lies like stealing credit for fragrances and saying that they made fragrances for JFK etc. when there’s zero evidence that they even made parfumes back then.

Imagination is currently number 1 on my ”gotta test it” list, but as it is barely above freezing temperatures here where I live, I’m gonna hold my horses and test it when the outside weather is more appropriate. Yeah, interior temperature is obviously warm enough, but there’s some kind of mental block that makes fresh fragrances feel weak and aquatics downright nasty for me until the sun shines warmly and nature starts blooming.

But I still have high hopes on it, because my experience with summer citrus fragrances is that it’s easy to find tons of ”nice” ones, but actually impactful, impressive ones are very hard to find.

Oh, I'm not saying Marly lies the way Creed does, simply that they clearly took a look at what Creed was doing and went with a similar theme. And it works. I'd argue that Marly does Creed better than Creed does. They're both commonly described as doing mass appealing designer style fragrances with higher quality ingredients, but unlike Creed, PdM actually does that. I've never really smelled I Creed that I outright hated, but the performance is pathetic and completely unacceptable at the prices they charge. I have never once had that problem with PdM. They're not my favorite house, but I know that if I hand them $300, they're going to hand me a fragrance that lasts longer than an hour.

As always though, try a sample for yourself.

As for the Iron Duke, if you didn’t like the sweet note in it, you may not like Acrasia either. To my nose they share a sweet note in the opening that is much stronger in Acrasia and lasts longer, but Acrasia evolves differently.

What are the ways of sealing screw on lids of perfume bottles? I see people using teflon tape, however, that's not really for sealing, but more so for plumbers to lubricate the threads so pipes can screw all the way and make a complete connection to each other. Teflon isn't for metal on glass. Loctite? (Used to get an airtight seal with pressurized pneumatic systems, although I doubt loctite would bond to glass) Any ideas?

is this for storage? Or do you still want easy access to the fragrance? If it is for storage you could try teflon tap on the threads to help have a tighter seal, but then once that cap it on wrap it up in a few layers of plastic wrap. It wouldn't be perfectly airtight, no seal is, but could store it for years and years with no noticeable evaporation. If you keep it in a cool and dark place then it would retard and chemical degradation as well.

>> No.18059581

>>18059547
If you aren't going to be spraying it for many months or years and want to store I think having a couple extra layers of protection through plastic wrap could help. But if it is something you think you will be respraying within a few months or sooner I wouldn't bother. If you are going to do long-term storage, cool and dark environment to store it in is also important.

What you're not taking into account is personality of the wearer. Smelling something on a test strip piece of paper is going to be so much different to smelling something on someone you associate with the father of your children. This is why people say to wear what you like. It becomes an extension of your personality. This is why, if you don't have any, people are going to think you are lame as fuck no matter what you're wearing as apposed to being the cool person at the party, now you're that cool person at the party that smells AMAZING, MAGNETIC, MYSTERIOUS, FUN, SEXY. It's like this with everything.
If a guy loves animals, he's a bitch. If a guy is cool and bends down to pet a dog once, people(not just women) will be like omg, he has a sensitive side, what a mysterious and interesting guy, he's so interesting AND cool. What a fully rounded individual. This of this example with two guys who like chess. The guy who likes chess but is low value, nerd, dork, loner, introvert. The guy who is high value and likes chess, interesting, unique, learned, sophisticated, chill, intense.
Do whatever you want in life, but if you are going to do it in order to attract or influence others, make sure you have the value to pull it off.

All truth.
The show “How I Met Your Mother” essentially talked about the same thing with the phrase “dahmer vs dobler”.
Almost everything you do can be viewed as either romantic/sexy/good or creepy/disgusting/bad depending on how the viewer perceives it.
That said, you need to just do things for yourself (within reason) and not care what others think. E.g. Don’t stop showering because you don’t care what others think, but don’t wear a fragrance just to please others, because no matter what there will be some you can never please (see thread above).
