Those are called front patch pockets. They were popular in the '70s and '80s. It's hard to search for because 99% of jeans have patch pockets in the rear. Most of what I found are for women too. Here's a pair with a vintage look for men but they're pricey. https://www.phixclothing.com/en-us/products/blue-front-pocket-denim-jeans

In all seriousness, leaving aside that your dad was a pretty boy, but still manly, and not only banged your mom in the back of his '86 camaro but also all of her friends, the main difference is that your facial features are softer and more feminine than his.
I'd suggest a high protein diet and some exercise, you do not have to go full /fit/izen but lift some weights, go outside and play some sports. Also reduce your screen time, you do not need to watch so many tiktok videos.

Other anon is right. Resistance training and good diet to fuel it will help build your frame, and will also cause your body to release DHT and other hormones which will help your secondary sexual characteristics develop. 17 is the perfect age to start.

There's plenty of info out there on what to do training wise, but my advice is no matter what you pick, always make sure you give it 100% on every single set you do. Biggest mistake people make is half assing workouts and not eating enough/shitty diet.

As a complete beginner, you can probably make massive progress in the first year by just sucking down two protein shakes a day and adding another ~200 calories with something like 2tbsp of peanut butter on top of whatever your diet looks like now. That's what I did when I started and I went from 165 to 185 with pretty minimal fat gain pretty fast.

>> No.18027395

>>18027391
To add to this, men back in the day were much more active in their jobs/general lifestyle then men today. Don't get stuck in the trap that men today have lower T due to microplastics/whatever.

Men used to do pushups every morning, work jobs with more physical labor, eat nothing but whole foods, etc. In our modern society, it's much easier to fall into a lifestyle where you work from an office chair 8+hrs a day, never workout, and eat prepared ultra processed foods for over half your diet. This is why men today are more infertile/weak.

Also, get sunlight if you don't. 15-30 minute walk or coffee outside every morning is enough.

cheap passable emergency shoes?

I've been assembling an "emergency" clothes bag to keep in my car that has both a dirtbag and a "nice" fit. The "nice" fit is basically pic rel, but all my good shoes are expensive and are in rotation so I can't just leave a pair in my car all the time.

Figured I'd just go to a payless or something tomorrow to find something, but are there any brands that are better than others in the sub $60ish dollar range? I really don't need these to be the best shoes, just passable at a quick glance for a 2-3 hour deal that might occasionally pop up where I need to look nicer but don't have time to run home and change.

I suspect that you want some more mature looks when you complain about dressing like a little girl.
For me that means costume/women's suit with blouses for preppy looks, large knitwear and midi skirts for comfy looks and allblack leather jacket/coat, jeans and chunky boots for edgy looks.

Let's crunch some numbers anon. We're on /fa/ so I'll assume he's 160lb and 5'10 and not a mass monster

A calorie calculator puts one hour of moderate effort masonry for a 160lb person at 330cal and an hour of light effort at 190cal. Let's be generous and say over the course of a day between periods of working harder, working less, and taking union breaks, anon burns ~1500cal (3 hours of moderate work, 3 hours of light, and the rest more or less sedentary). That same anon has an RMR of 1900cal so we're at approximately 3.4k total per day. More realistically the workload varies from day to day and week to week, and the days where anon is burning less than that at work outnumber the ones where he's burning more.

Now if you've ever spent time with tradies, most of them eat like absolute shit. The average fast food meal is around ~1000cal. Three of those or their caloric equivalent in a day with no snacking puts you at 400 under tdee. Now throw in a 6 pack of light beer after work and you're 500 over, even more if you go for something with more body

So again, we come to anon isn't moving enough or is eating like shit. And if you need a (((source))) here's Science mag btfo'ing all the copers: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abe5017

>WHY IS IT ALL WAVY AND FUCKING SHRUNK NOW.
Because it's cotton, retard.
Hang dry as straight as posdible, try to manually stretch the pants a bit. Might have to iron them once dry anyway.
Also they will sort of stretch back after a wear or two, so don't fret.
Next time wash them on a low spin cycle, and maybe pit them inside the washing machine rolled up to prevent excessive wrinkling.

100% tends to shrink a bit but also stretches back. Basically follow the same guidelines for denim when washing.
You can also get 2% elasthane corduroys for a safer structural integrity.

>> No.18038959

>>18038950
Also forgot to mention: next time you get corduroys you might want to get them a bit on the long side regarding the inseam. They will shrink a bit after washing and you can get them hemmed afterwards if needed, moreso if they're 100% cotton.
Corduroy and denim tend to behave similarly when washing because of the way tgey're woven or something. Just something to keep in mind when buying and washing cords.

What's your current holster/belt get up? Lots of factors when it comes to concealability, and everyone's built different. Check out youtube videos from Phlster and Tessah Booth for really in depth discussion on the mechanics of concealment
>hurr durr I'm not listening to a woman
Typically I'd agree with you but women tend to be more self conscious about this sort of thing, ergo put more thought into it then dudes who'll look like they've got a colostomy bag and not care.

Personally, I find mid to high rise pants work better, especially with the wml. X300U in low rise pants is downright vulgar, makes me look like I've got two penises.
As far as /fa/ related ways of reducing printing, you're looking to create visual noise around the waistband. Whether it's the wrinkles on a linen shirt in the summer or the ribbing on a knitted sweater in the fall/winter, all these things create textures that distract peoples' eyes better than solid colors. It's the reason why plaid shirts are so popular, and to me are a huge "I have a gun" indicator outside of the PNW.
Last thing, I'd never accuse anyone here of being fat (kek) but being in shape helps, a lot. If you've got a bigger chest and shoulders and a flatter stomach, the gun's gonna conceal better regardless.

>> No.18039913

>>18039892
stop trying for a specific aesthetic unless you can label it, it'll either go nowhere coherent, or it'll look like a movie set, where nothing seems lived in.

start with the basics.
>how much space/how many rooms
>do I want to have space for my hobbies, or do I want to go outside for recreation?
>do I like organic materials, or painted metal/plastic?

I'm of the opinion that a home isn't comfortable unless it has a place for everything, and you can cook an excellent meal in its kitchen.

if you have to leave the home in order to eat well, you'll always have one foot out your own door.

if you start from function while making beauty/craftsmanship the second necessity, a meaningful aesthetic will emerge its own.

Derbies are a solid suggestion. Brown, in pebbled leather or a suede for a rough casual look. Or instead wear loafers. For casual loafers you want a moccasin style, not a sleek european-looking apron. And again, textured leather. To me thats the most versatile shoe - casual enough to go with most casual clothes, but dressy enough to elevate everything else in your fit.

What's going on with male jackets?
Within the last 5 to 10 years leather jacket sleeves in particular became very tight, particularly around the forearms.
There's also this thing where the entire jackets have gotten overall tighter. On the street you can tell if someone's wearing a new leather jacket by the fact that it looks too small for him, even when the dude isn't fat.
The only places where I have seen more loose male leather jackets are second hand stores, and it seems like the leather on those is better too, but I'd rather buy one new.
Bomber jackets seem to have gotten tighter as well. Those used to have airy, loose fitting, layering-friendly sleeves. Now all the ones I've tried at stores fit me like a tight track suit, but extra polyestery...
This may sound more like a rant than a question. It's less me complaining and more trying to be concrete. Do they still sell "normal" loose jackets, but outside my area? I don't like ordering clothes online. When I see it, I know it's the one for me.

leather jackets are cool in theory but they're all cut like that now because only reddit dorks buy them anymore. you can still get good ones from japan but you basically need a friend who speaks moon runes to make sense of buying one from there unless you visit.
you can still get canvas jackets in non redditor chad cuts pretty easily. wax one of those up and its basically the 'poor man's leather jacket.

I don't know the conventions for formal shoes, which might be specifically what you're asking, but I have some boots with stacked leather soles, you basically just soap and condition them every once in a while like with all leather, the main downside is there's very little traction so some people will modify or change the sole out for utility reasons.

I like the blue (Nordic) one and the grey and brown one, my daughter's both said the red ones would look better (not pictured, use link plz.)

I still got to pick one. I don't care that the girls said red, I just find it curious they both picked all the red ones. I suspect it's because the Stuart pattern is the most recognized one so people think red is normal.
Anyway, here's my skin tone. I'm really torn between the "kilts and culture" and Nordic heritage one.
>Get both
If I like it and get a second one, I'm getting one custom in antique Buchanan. This is just a cheap experiment to see if I like wearing it before I drop hundreds of dollars on wool and accessories.

I guess, it's not what you want, then, but, fuck, these are spot on OG casual, you look like you are about to get to the ball game beat the shit out of some poor chav kid. I don't know, whether I can be of help here. If you want it less "street", I'd say you'd have to lay off the sporty items, try a crew neck, maybe with a shirt collar under it. Leather shoes instead of sneakers. I don't know, tbqh, you can't really use buzzwords like "casual" anymore without really specifying further, what it is, that you're looking for, these words have been used and abused to the moon and back.
