Here in North Europe the equivalent are arabs bathed in 1 Million EDT. None of them are bad, and although they really do what they mean to and what their name implies, Pear as a fragrance is very odd and Baikal Leather is too light, as is Yuzu. I like heavy frags, which is why the heaviest frags top the list for me. Glad that this haul is actually good. Last time I bought some weird avant garde frags and had to throw away (into a box) most of them because I genuinely couldn't go out wearing them. They were that odd, that strong, that bothering. If I was less of a people pleaser, they would be good, but I wear a frag to smell good, to myself mostly, but also in part to other people. I also didn't like Hexen or something myself either.

There are some weak perfumes. I just haven't smelled too many in the years I've been smelling. The other day I was walking around the pond and a couple passed me. I could smell what he was wearing 9 feet behind him, no exaggeration. I caught up with them and before I passed, asked what he was wearing. It was Terre d'Hermès. I know how a couple sprays of TdH Parfum smells because that's all I needed to spray, and it lasted a good while. His fragrance in the amount he was wearing was unrecognizable as TdH. I question whether he could even smell it on himself with the volume he wore. His nose must have been fried. His partner wasn't wearing any fragrance (I asked her too).

Same. A ”signature scent” sounds like a good idea, finding a scent that perfectly meshes with you and making it a part of your image, but in practice it just would make you noseblind as fuck in regards of that scent, highly unlikely that you could appreciate it anymore after every day use.

Also, if you live in a country with actual four seasons, it’s pretty hard to find scents that are fitting for every single season. At least I personally hate typical summer aquatics or light freshies when it’s winter and everything is literally freezing, and everyone knows what happens when you use gourmand stuff in hot summer. Maybe some vetiver frag or something like BdC (fresh, but enough ”body” to survive cold too) could work, but ehh.

As far as I can tell Sublime is more sublime... is more floral yet double the patchouli. It smells very natural, which I would expect for the price. Intense just hits you like a truck and stays. Sublime ironically enough doesn't appear to last very long compared to intense... but I just smelled my wrist again and while the intense is gone the sublime is still there. Haven't showered yet bcz I just woke up but it lasts very subtly for a very long time. Dunno if worth the price but it's something special, it has some special aspects about it.

Been testing this for a week now. I started liking the scent profil, it grew on me, but it smells very ordinary. I wouldn't necessarily say pedestrian or low-class, but on the spectrum it's certainly closer to that than high-class. I imagine a guy wearing this who has a trades job but makes good money. I just can't get over the uncanny valley between the price and the scent profile.

Another thing: So many people online say this makes for a great summer scent, but to me it's too spicy and not fresh enough to consider it for high heat. What do you guys think about that? And also Percival in general.
