Finally finished anti-grinch gift for anon from secret s/a/nta. Working with this new case was a pain to get the hands to fit. I tried disassembly and reassembly several times until I ended up adding a 0.5mm wide ring around the very edge of the dial underside so that when clamped by the caseback the center of the dial wants to dish inward. This is something that I'll probably add to any future designs as it alleviates some of the risk with thicker dials. I'm happy with the dial but overall I think this case was more of a pain to work with than it's worth and with substandard brushing to boot, so for field watch aesthetics I'll have to try a few more sellers to find one I like.

Powermatic 80 C07.621 with Mido's own tweaks on it.
The strap it came is quite elegant, butterfly clasp and all, but it felt way too formal for me and a bit stiff too, so I had it switched for a more traditional one. There are quite a few variations of this particular model. It's my first "more costly" watch, so even after getting all the other ones, I still find myself coming back to it. It's safe to say it has achieved ol' reliable status.

From what I know, Mido are pretty autistic about the accuracy, so they're well regulated. Mine I got for about 680 euros, but I think they go for cheaper now. As for technicals, I'm afraid I'm not that well versed in this subject. Check out mido calibre 80 to find out more. From what I can see, they use it for a lot of their models.
