Got these cheapies on the mail today:

Quick and really brief first impressions

Sung: good herbal soapy opening dries quickly into something plasticky, requires further testing but so far a dissapointment. Performance also seems lacking

Bijan: really complex chypre that opens aldehidic and dries into a sweet floral leather that keeps evolving with time , for the price, absurdly good

1881: fresh citrusy woody herbal Fougere. Not complex or extremely original but well executed , will wear it to the gym tomorrow. Dries down a bit sweet

Lomani: drakkar noir with a heavier base , extremely fucking good for eight euros .

Jacomo: the biggest surprise of them all, if you gave me this to test blindly and you told me it's the new Beaufort, I would totally believe it. Smoky herbal bliss with zero sweetness , smells natural and heavy and really dark. Love it a lot. Any Beaufort enjoyers like me should definitely pick it up. It's a mix between iron duke and chetyre by prin/prissama, so great

The negative reviews about the performance are overblown. Its not that bad. Mine is the newest batch made in Oman, it still performs good. Projection lasts about 2-3h, depemds on the environment. However, it has a moderate projection.

Some things about Amouage:
1. Never judge the performance on day 1 u get ur hands on it. Unlike any other brands, Amouage's juice needs time to rest. It happened with my Black Iris, Royal Tobacco, Interlude 53, and Reflection. On day 1, it was barely projecting, and under 1h it turned to skin scent. After i went full wear once, i let it to rest for a couple weeks, then the performance improved significantly.
2. Amouage sprayer sucks, so if u want to compare the performance with other brands, it hard to gauge it since its inconsistent and stingy.
3. Amouage uses lots of natural ingedients, so the performance between each batch may vary. It also happens on another brands that use lots of natural ingredients too.
4. Reading on the previous reviews in here and from other souces, i doubt the vintage batch had beast projection. Sometimes people get overhyped from a spur of moment when they're excited, or they simply have different standard than people who used to strong performers. To people who just came from weak designer brands, this could be a beast for them.
5. The performance on the newest Jubi is not that bad desu, its not a beast, but not a skin scent too. It projects moderately, and lasts for a good 6-8h.

Reformulation is real, batcbes difference is real too, but u should trust urself more. Sometimes everything is overblown or overhyped by people on the internet.

I LOVE this stuff, but it's roughly three hundred dollars for one hundred milliliters. I have an opportunity to get it on a voucher, but I don't know if I want to spend this much on a fragrance. Most mall fragrances I've tried are underwhelming by comparison, and even slightly fancier Amazon fragrances still aren't as good as the Miller Harris discovery kit shit I found (aside from green tea tonique [it sux]). I think this has the strength of only 2-4 sprays being necessary for balanced silage.

Talking to the camera about how famous he is and how many people love him and want to take pictures with him, and then tell the guy to hurry because he doesn't have time to talk to someone like him is a weird move. If it is already hot and humid out I feel more people will appreciate a lighter, cooler scent rather than a heavier, muskier, spicier scent. But I agree that there are no hard rules about it. But there are definitely some scents that are more masculine or feminine than others. It doesn't mean all fall into one of those categories, but there are definitely some scents that would smell odd and out of place on a woman, as well as odd and out of place on a man, or at least a straight man. Snagged some Libertine & Chasing Scents samples. Chasing Scents are really high quality fragrances, very tea based with a lot of really nice quality concentrates from various green and black teas. Quite sweet openings, Slow World is thick and malty, Tea service dries down really ‘green’ and fresh, Rain Tea smells the most interesting with a bright pollen/honey element and a rain accord.

Not sure what to make of the Libertines, all pretty weird. Sweet Grass is probably the best, photorealistic sweet hay and hot summer fields. Thanks for attending my blogpost

Yes, it's quite possible for a handful people to show allergic reactions to ingredients not classified as allergens (such are their not listed). With oakmoss 11.7%-13.1% of participant in the EU study showed allergic reactions. I don't know what the cutoff is for ingredients to be classified.

Looking for a very oceany aquatic, got to smell some frags today:
>wood sage and sea salt
Not bad, but quite light and a bit too fruit sherbet smelling
>sailing day
Nice, also seemed light. Wouldn't mind but something a bit deeper would be nice
>oud wood
Garbage. Smelled like a bathroom cleaner
Any indication of where to go from here?

Long story short I work as a health inspector so getting into /frag/ is important for me because i dont wanna come home smelling like pizza or fried food every day. Ive done some studying of the /frag/ flow chart, frag groups 101, but i still feel out of my head.

I got some penhaligons from my grandfather when i was 19, and ive been trying to get into the woody-oudy stuff but im wondering if Oud Malaki would be a good fit considering my occupation or if i should be wary of taking a puerto rican shower if i use too much of the stuff.

I recently posted about having ordered samples of pic related.

My conclusions:

>L'Immensité
Good but kinda generic. Also too sweet for my taste.

>Météore
Really disliked it. Even sweeter and very strong. Projects like a beast. Headache candidate. (I am sensitive when it comes to certain kinds of sweet aromas)

>Orage
Fantastic. Smells very classy and doesn't shout. Fresh, woody, a bit green, very gentle spiciness, earthy but not dirty earthy. Very clean scent. Love the scent profile.

>Pacific Chill
Also fantastic. Extremely fruity and fresh. Addictive. Makes you almost wanna eat it. Can't wait to try it in high heat.

yeah ive been focusing on the other aspects too, soap, haircut, etc. I use a tobacco pomade from 18.21 I picked up recently as well.

As far as sprays go, I usually do like 2-3. Usually one on the neck area and 1-2 on the wrists. I like the endymion my grandfather gave me, it smells great but the problem is it only lasts like 2 hours and when i tried a sample of endymion concentre it got rid of the dreamy floral notes and more harsh incense wood and leather. If there was something inbetween id go for that.

Also liked lothair from Penhaligons and if theres ever another US sale i might get it but then i started looking at the flowchard and figured Oud Malaki might be up my alley but i also heard it was rather strong going by fragrantica.

I suppose that I'm looking for something woody-musky, no food notes that will mask the fried food smell from my job but wont necessarily scare the office hoes like Black Afghano or smell like I took a puerto rican shower despite working in an area with a large hispanic population.

Then he fills it up with alcool. There's no way it's just 4 different chemicals.

Just order a bunch of samples from different kind of fragrances (some thing fresh, something warm, floral, vanilla, etc) and see what you like and go from there. You could try some from the flowchart at the top, or some brands/collections that look or sound interesting to you
Fragantica is an ok site to see the notes and the performance of a fragrance.

The reason some fragrances are priced so high (and why it's a good thing) are to keep normie fucks out of it. Why would you want to smell like the poor as a CEO. Clone houses are inevitable because of course these frangraces can be sold cheaper while still maintaining a huge markup(a $50 frag still takes in ~$35 profit).

You can rest easy knowing if a parfum is $300 you're one of the 5 people wearing it in your city

>Shit genes

It increases dht, if you are prone to balding it will speed up the process and more than half of Caucasians are prone to it , that's not "shit genes".

Not worth the risk

I don't say creatine is not safe, it is, but risking balding isn't an option for me, I'm paranoid already without doing anything to promote it

Women will compliment anything if you're hot. Wear fragrance for yourself and just wear what you like.
