I am a big hater of the "don't mix patterns" rule, I also wear a striped orange shirt with that cardigan sometimes. my thought process for the combo was this: the argyle pattern looks like a cloudy sky and the tie dye looks like a rainbow. the colors look washed out in that pic but really the argyle is more blue than that, in this pic from a couple months ago you can see it better. contrast is a pretty consistent theme in my outfits, I find it interesting how many people in waywt think of contrast as being a bad thing. argyle has a reputation of being really grandpa-ish, but I think its more versatile than many people realize. its easy to style in any mix of casual and formal, prep and streetwear.
