is there any reason to get shoe care products, especially creams and polish, from the store? In terms of price even the most expensive ones are really affordable, so that's a benefit of store bought. The downside is that they may add chemicals that are not really necessary, at least with mid range products I get a dizzying smell in the room while maintaining my shoes. With a homemade product I'd get none of that, but possibly worse results - considering that these are companies with decades of experience in making these products.
