No I actually think that's the reasoning. I would look "tacked on" if that makes sense. Have you seen these watches up close? The markers shine like mirrors and Seiko probably thought it would ruin the look if they put lume. Well obviously it [the lume] didn't have to be on the markers necessarily...
Hmmm.. well if there is a market for that, I guess they should've done some models with.

if that may not be enough the just stick with your apple ultra 2
try to gauge the level of watches other parties wear at the next few important meetings
in most cases I see directors and C-level people with the latest apple watch while attending usual office meetings, and they pull out Rolex and above at high end events

Man I'd make so much money for Seiko if I was running them.
First of all, use the Credor and Grand Seiko derived movements in more watches that aren't limited or cost over 3.500 bucks (they're starting to do this at least)
Second, work on your damn bracelets! Not the ones below a thousand or so though, those are fine actually, but once you get into Marinemaster territory and so on the bracelets should have more on the fly adjustment and match better with the actual watches themselves.
And third, keep the limited editions down outside of Japan. I know it's a cultural thing, but I don't think people here take to it too well. Granted it does work for the less cheap models, they do trade quite a bit over msrp. But that is of no benefit to the fucking Seiko corp.
I expect my call by Monday.

I only ever saw such a shitty amplitude when a watch was magnetized. I read somewhere that especially the 6r15C has problems with the balance that got fixed with the D revision.

They make some very nice mechanical watches like the Gold Feather line up, the Kuon line up, the Signo hand winded ones and obviously the Masterpiece collection. But overall, you're correct, the majority feels like filler. Their Quartz are also fine but only their minimalistic ones.
I am more of a fan of the older ones, talking late 90s to late 2000s. I don't know why but these pieces are my style.
It's not just the Eichi I and II. And really, if I compare it with my seikos, it feels like an entirely different brand. Credor cares, seiko doesn't. My 20 year old GMT runs at +3, it was never serviced.

They put a little money into one good watch and they can trick 10,000 retards into buying dogshit.

If you don't have a masterpiece, you have dogshit and you got tricked.

>it feels like an entirely different brand. Credor cares, seiko doesn't
That's a coping mechanism on your part. They're the same company. The rest is marketing tricks. They can't get you to pay 600 dollars for another Presage anymore, but they figured out how to get you to pay 2000 dollars for a quartz shitter.

The Eichi II and a couple others, at the boutique in Tokyo.
Compared to a normal Cocktail Time...the Eichi is incredible but every other Credor they're basically the same as a Seiko at a fraction of the price.

I'm sorry you got conned into buying that Signo but that's the way it goes. They're salesmen. They know how to trick retarded gaijin.

Thankfully got a great price on my favourite Alpinist colour before it was discontinued (SPB119) and just bit the bullet on the green bamboo laurel alpinist SPB435. I think that depends on how you typically dress. More casual, Rolex. More dressed-up, JLC. You can't go wrong either way, though. The OP can be dressy enough and the JLC casual enough if you want it to be.

Straps wear out. That's really the only thing you have to worry about.

Starting in the mid 2000s, JLC made a number of updates to their movements to deal with the reputation that they were fragile. They're quite durable now.
