Plenty of places do, but after looking for a while I can't find one with a fly fishing design nearly as "clean" looking and appropriate to the style. Unfortunately even if I sourced a similar cord hat and had it custom embroidered, I'm just not saving much and it will take a long time.

O’Connells. I have four pairs of trousers from them, two flannel's and two worsted wool, they're worth every penny. Looks like they're on sale rn too. Two things you should know are: Their regular rise is like 13" so take that into consideration when specifying an inseam length. Secondly, their trousers are a bit wide at the leg, 9" I believe. I took mine to a tailor because I prefer a 8 1/4" leg opening. O’Connells has a huge selection of quality clothing and I recommend them to everyone.

>mod != /tip/
i think an amalgamation of the two styles is definitely possible, even if that just means getting /tip/ staples in mod cuts. But mod staples already have a lot of crossover with tip staples, like black loafers, red/white socks, knitwear, polo shirts, so theres options. I think a good start would be a typical mod fit but with loafers and a barbour jacket instead of an m-1 parka. Personal style is about adapting and mixing styles to suit you, not adapting yourself to fit just one style.

As nice as this suit is it leaves a little to be desired pallete-wise, it almost requires everything else to be a similaly muddy color to go with it, which leaves out a lot of the shirts and ties ive collected.
I'm considering getting a charcoal suit with blue pinstripes as blue shows up a lot in my shirts and ties, but im not enough of a blue fan to get something as overpowering as a solid blue or navy.
before that though I'm gonna walk backwards in formality and get a grey flecked sport coat (i love flecked wool/tweed)and some chinos/jeans/trousers.

They're not necessary but if you have a good pair of shoes you want to keep long term they're definitely worth the (small) investment. If you're really strapped you can get by with just one set by rotating them into whatever shoes you wore last but I keep shoe trees in all my decent shoes just for the sake of convenience.

never used shoe trees, but I just bought a pair because I had the same question. It basically boils down to: I bought cheap shoes most of my life, and they just wear down that's that. Having a shoe tree that costs 20-40% of the actual shoe made no sense for me, as well as investing into shoe care equipment.
In the mean time I learned to make my own clothes and it had the side effect that I see how cheaply made these cheap shoes really are.
This made me come to the age old conclusion that for all the money invested into this collection of cheap things I could have purchased maybe three well made ones and it would take up less space in my home. Still, I like variety, so I don't regret it, but I'll make sure that I get the best of the ones that I have now before replacing them with better quality. It also gives me the opportunity to try out various products and methods on a worn down cheap shoe.
For that matter, I second what >>17993746 said. You can do just fine without. The only time my shoes got really badly creased was when I was in a two hour downpour and the shoes were completely soaked and also took in some washing agent that they use for the streets. These never fully recovered, but I'll see if I can get the creases out with a shoe tree.

Im the same same as you, Always been a poorfag Always cutting corners etc
But my opinion, if you can find a pair of shoetree for 20 of your current currency, yes it is almost a thriftstore blazer or pants in terms of price, but it would give your pair of shoe greater life span, as well as looking them looking good, same with the shoecream and brush
A pair of used shoetrees, good shoecream and a brush is worth a used pair of shoes, that can even be good if you find a good bargain

I dont own shoe trees but Im tempted to get a pair, and the shoetree unless you are retarded will last you forever, its m'y point of view of a poorfag, but maybe all the guys recommending to get em are all part of the same esoteric cult that gets power everytime a pair of shoetree is insered inside a shoe idk
Never had real leather shoes, do the shoe easily bend and get creases or is it way overplayed by shoe tree shills??
When I thrift around on eBay or anything, some people have REALLY marked creases, and claim to have wore the pair only twice, should also bé blatant lying but it fueled my fear to cop good quality leather shoes and not insert shoe trees inside.

Im using Timberland 6inches here when it snows heavily and I put inside after each wear a big bowl of kraft paper, the brown paper used for Primark bags etc, seems to stop the creasing but it will not help the sole to bend if it has to

>> No.17994201

>>17994066
I can only refer to my own models with leather top and rubber sole. Wearing them twice should give them a tiny bit of creasing, they wouldn't look brand new, you can see that they had to bend at the toe/vamp. Think about the sample shoes at a shoe store, people walk around with them all the time when they try them and usually you don't notice heavy wear. Walking around for a month or so should give you some moderate creasing that stays that way over the lifetime of the shoe if you don't use trees. That "caught an old boot with my fishing pole" kind of creasing would only appear after said downpour or a lot of walking.
My initial thought for not using them was that I never had any and that it seemed just like something else to waste money on. Indeed, the quality cream etc. also is extremely cheap considering how long it lasts, so there is no point in getting the budget option, but even that is something I had to learn and I'll use up the budget creams on the cheaper shoes first.

Is it somewhat hard to do? I have watched countless youtube guides it seems retard proof, only thing that could be done wrong is the quantity of product use, but even with that, after a shoecream, you brush and then use a rag to wipe off the excess

Not him but i also think it looks bad. The color is drab and the weave looks plain (in this photo quality at least). This makes it look more like a suit jacket than a sportjacket. A proper sportjacket should have a more casual color and weave, and some casual details like lapped seams, patch pockets, more open quarters, etc.
Also it's 20% plastic which is an instant disqualification.

You definitely can find good used jackets for cheap, but oftentimes things are cheap for good reasons.

hot take time
Black actually looks good

Greys are a pain in the ass because there's a million shades of them, and darker greys look better than lighter greys, just go to the logical conclusion: black.
Black trousers are incredibly easy to find so you don't have to worry about your trousers wearing out.
They pair beautifully with black shoes, it's just a seamless transition from trouser to shoe.
Black contrasts perfectly with white shirts, the black makes the white look whiter, and the white makes the black look blacker.
Any pop of colour is made immediately more impressive by contrast against the sheer austerity of the black.
It's sleek. Black looks good in modern clothing and even better in classic clothing.
