Major avatarfags
=============

>Poortadello/OmegaDrunk
Multi-reply specialist. Canadian. Gay. Only posts about his own watches. Very repetitive posts. Has several obscure Omegas only he cares about. Notorious for samefagging. Obsessed with BitterAnon.

>Whoretadello
Balding Greek living in Germany. Has a tendency of buying too large watches. Cleans cars for a living. Has a Tudor, Homos, and some Seikos. Life currently falling apart, filling the void with materialism and falling in love with strippers. Unfortunately alive. Possibly lying low due to tax evasion attempt he made plans for prior to his trip to Japan. >>17927791

>Citizen drunk/Finncel
25% Finnish, 50% Swedish, rest is a mystery. Lives in Finland. Works as a shelver in a grocery store. Alcoholic. Repetitive posts about alcohol, coins and Eco-Drives. Tragic case of gyno.

>Mortadello
Very positive and friendly, but doesn't post anything of any consequence. Lawyer. Obese. Posts improving photos of amazing watches. Lies about his age. Does not take criticism well.

The swatch stigma has ruined many brands for me. How do I become more open minded about this? Glashütte Original for example are in the swatch group yes but they are extremely transparent about how they manufacture their watches, that doesn't bother me for example, but *behind the doors* companies like omega, which are also swatch fags, are very suspicious to me. It's like they hide the fact that it is all made in china and assembled (hopefully) in switzerland

Nato straps feel like shit on the wrist. They basically add 5mm to the thickness of your watch, and the watch head never sits right because of the folds.

They all wear slightly smaller than their numbers would suggest because their lugs curve downwards. The wire-lugged Radiomirs basically have no lugs so they wear smaller too.

They look larger than their numbers suggest because they're cushion cases, not round cases. (This is the same reason Oyster case Rolexes look larger than their numbers.)

That said, they're still very large watches but if you can wear a modern Omega Seamaster Diver, you can probably wear a Panerai.

It's sometimes called a doctor's chronograph.

When you want to take someone's heartrate, you start the clock and start counting heart beats. When you count 30 beats, you stop the clock and the scale does the conversion for you.

There used to be all sorts of uses for chronographs. Telemeter scale chronos were used by artillerymen to determine the distance to enemy emplacements and prepare counter-battery fire.

I do yes, I don't have any other dial that looks like it, including the hands.
But I absolutely hate the movement. I started appreciating accuracy, especially while being in Japan where the trains arrive on the second. I talked about this before in detail, let's just say that the 6r35 is the biggest scam that seiko has ever managed to market as a "mid-tier" movement.
I can't get used to how inaccurate it is. My Tudor gains 1 second every 3 days. My GS loses 1 second per week. My GMT Credor runs at +-3 per day and my quartz is obviously very accurate at +-10 per year.
For fucks sake even my 52 year old king seiko runs at +-5 per day. Pic related, this one is at 60 seconds + per day.
I will take it with me to regulate it there and then hopefully it runs at the (still abysmal) -15+25 that seiko rates it at.

Looking to buy a second watch, I have a SEIKO 5 SNKL23/K1 which I like but I would like a second watch and I'm willing to pay ideally up to £500 or up to £1000 if I can get something of better value.

I think I messed up getting an automatic at such a low cost since my Seiko loses a lot of time so I guess I'm looking for a quartz or if I can get a better automatic at the above price ranges one of them. In terms of dial size anything under 40mm would be good

There's a ton of stuff on youtube about this. Got one of these gizmos from AliExpress
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005006016212779.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2deu
(planning on getting the real deal some time in the future)

Hooked it up to laptop/phone (works with the app in your pic) and started moving those two levers. First, I fixed the beat error (the thicker lever). Got it down to about 0.3 - 0.2, and then I got the rate fixed(the thinner lever). +/-3 sec a day I think it was saying, but it really depends on what position you wear and leave the watch on. The accuracy depends a lot on that. Seems to be working fine now though. It's a pain and half to get those levers in just the right position, a lot of trial and error, and a lot of luck too. And you have to be really careful not to touch the hairspring. It's pretty much game over if you do.

My RZE Endeavor arrived yesterday. Wanted a tool watch and this fit the bill. Overall I’m happy with what I got for the price.
Things I like:
it’s light and quite thin. The bevel action is good. Love the dial color and texture and the loom is awesome, the two color loom is really cool.
Things I don’t like:
Really it’s just the bracelet. The lightness and the sandblasted make it look and feel cheap. Also rattles and pinches quite a bit so as you can see I’ve swapped it for a rubber strap.
Wrist size is 6.75”

Also, slightly chip the tip of the toothpick off. The pointier it is, the bigger the chance it will slip off the lever and into something it's definitely not meant to slip into. You can rest it against the edge of the watch case for better stability. Oh, and don't lose your temper. It's a very tedious task, and it's gonna take a lot of nudging back and forth until you get it right. Usually, you'd want to fix the beat error first, but if you don't have any way to keep track of how the watch is running in real time, just don't touch that (the thicker lever).

Omega Speedmaster pro for me. Home to get an entry level rolex someday. I wanted a speedy moonwatch for over a decade plus. After my divorce I promised to buy it for myself. I only ever spent money on her and my kids before, never splurged. That got me nowhere.. btw, women suck and the courts.
