being "cool" isn't about what you wear, it's a mindset. Brad Pitt or James Dean could wear the most mundate fit, but still be exuding coolness. The first thing to do is understand common sense. Don't wear clothing that is obviously pretentious, fake or unappealing. Their mindset is that of basic thinking. You don't pick clothes that are in fashion or popular. You don't wear clothing that has obvious branding. No clothes that symbolize group or organizational attendance. No clothing that would hinder physical movement or control. Nothing flashy or overly attention-seeking either. But you also cannot be socially unware. There's only so far you can be uncaring- because you still want to be part of the group, but not too overly attached, you understand? Just be cool.
