Bought a little sample of NYI. It’s not near as challenging as you guys made it out to be. Not an old man scent like Viking. Nowhere near as grandma as Blue Electrique, either. Kinda has a vibe that reminds me of the original One Million, actually. Daily driver for sure.

What are frags opinion on Orto Parisi? Preferably NOT the memes Seminalis and Stercus.
Currently trying out Terroni and Viride. They both seem alright, Viride is a lot more earthy than I was expecting, but not in a bad way. Like rich soil and herbs.
Terroni is also a little earthy, but in a black licorice, sweet and spicy kind of way.

And the worst part? The one for men, the Le Male Pride Edition, is just the same fragrance with a new sweater every year, the fragrance itself isn't even bad and it was created by Quentin Bisch. On Parfumo, where you can rate the bottle and fragrance separately, the bottle performs poorly while the fragrance itself is well-liked, and they are correct about that. It's a good white floral frag for the summer.

I genuinely wish I could have found an old bottle of Tonnerre while it was still called 1805. The bottle was clear and the juice is this is this really striking red brown. Kinda similar to Etruscan Water but a bit darker, closer to Hyde’s color.

Pacific Rock Moss and Wanted Tonic also have great juice colors, especially Tonic when mixed with the chrome of the bottle.

It no longer is. It's okay at best, you get an Invictus-like fragrance at better performance - allegedly. That was before it was hyped on every social media outlet, which made the price more than double, combined with plenty of reformulation rumors that supposedly killed the performance. So be aware of that, you might not get what you expect considering the current price. If you don't know Invictus, it's just bubblegum for teenage boys. Hawas is that as well. If someone has zero fragrances and zero fragrance knowledge, Hawas at original price would have been a good buy. I probably would've worn that one 10 years ago.

To be fair, I've smelled it a lot in the wild. Not as often as Khamrah, but certainly often. Then again it might have been any of the 400 clones of it that already exist. I can understand the hate - if so many people wear it, it just makes you question if these people have no opinion of their own. I'm sure they have worn a different fragrance before, I'm sure they will wear a different fragrance in the future, but instead of searching what interests them the most, they just settle on the current hype. To me, it feels like the fragrance loses its "personality" and the people wearing it do as well. Most disappointing thing I have smelled recently. Not a fan of the regular L'Eau d'Issey PH, it's just a bitter yuzu smell that I don't care about, so when I read about this one, I always thought they had made it more interesting somehow. Finally saw a bottle at a store and tested it. It's basically the same thing, with a miniscule amount of incense. All those accords can basically be removed, just 90% citrus and 10% smoky or balsamic. Thanks for reading my blog.

212 nyc by carolina herrera, santal by cdg, Incense Kyoto by cdg around 10 years ago. 5 years ago Sycamore by Chanel. Currently and ran out of Another 13 by Le labo. I would go for another Another 13 but open to try something new.

tom for wood oud is very strong, dark, spicy. Def not a fan but it is pleasant to smell.

You should obviously be looking into either chypres, or possibly classic fougeres. Eau Sauvage was already mentioned (but also check out the Parfum version), Chypre-Siam if you want to go back in time but with something new, Etruscan Water for something softer, Chypre Palatin if you want to go balls to the wall in morning dress. My non-chypre recommendations would be Estee Lauder for Men (don't be fooled by the lack of an official citrus note), Davidoff Zino, Guerlain Heritage or New York Intense.

Current slop mix by L'Oreal. Everything released by them recently has been a mix of the same 10-15 chemicals or something like that. The formula works, that's why they have been doing it, but personally, I just think most of them are rather mid. At first I was excited for new releases, now I know what they have been doing, and it sucks. The "reminds me of" section on fragrantica is all you need to know. Libre, Luna Rossa Ocean, Ralph's Club, Y, Born in Roma, all of them L'Oreal, all of them made from 2019 onwards.

It was made by Christophe Raynaud, and I would like to appeal to the perfumers making these slop mixtures to just fucking STOP. I understand that they need to make money, but attaching your name to these slop mixes really doesn't build a legacy. Forgettable fragrances attached to forgettable names. Then again Christophe Raynaud works for Givaudan and they need to sell those chemicals they are producing, so I technically can't blame him personally (even though I do).

Most of the headaches people get "from fragrances" are auto-suggestion. It happens mostly to weak-minded people. Stuff they don't like "gives them a headache" although in reality it doesn't, they just read on the internet it gives people headaches, or a bad smelling fragrance they bought does, as a reaction to the mental stress of having wasted money on something that stinks. burlington marked all their bullshit gift boxes down after christmas so i purchased hugo Man for like 11 dollars

and also got CK Defy EDP for 12 dollars. full bottle plus body wash and deodorant stick all that garbage. anyways, i know CK usually sucks, synthetic and performance wise not so awesome but Defy seems to be one exception that people love. the EDP has a leather note that is so prominent and offputting that i just don't know if i can wear it. the drydown once it is a skin scent is amazing, but for 75% of the life of the fragrance, the notes are almost irrelevant , you can only smell linear leather accord that ive smelled in 1000 of those generic arab frags before

The new elixir is good and I will buy one. Elixir takes the white floral of pour homme and amplifies it

I think orto Parisi make great fragrances. Terroni and viride and boccanera are my favourite. I did not like megamare which I found to be a headache inducing but much nicer version of aqua di Gio. The downside of this brand is it has no longevity for me despite being a parfum, though that could just be how it I interacts with my skin profile
