Until last year TLB did lasted trees for like 40€ an absolute steal.

I did lasted trees on these Bonafe loafers which was like 150€ just for the trees or something ridiculous like that.

They are nothing like TLB lasted trees, it's an extremely tight fit. There's not even a spare milimeter anywhere.

Anyway it does feel a bit of a scam to pay so much for trees but when you already pay so much for shoes it feels bad not to get the lasted trees too.

As far as I can tell, this is the only flaw, a little nick near the edge but it doesn't hit the stitching. Everything else looks clean, symmetrical, and within specs.
The only other potential flaw I was able to spot is near the little nick, on the shell itself, there are a few, super-tiny, pinpoint-like bumps(?) from the leather. I tried to capture these in the photo but couldn't -- they're that small and very few of them. I can't imagine these are of any consequence but this is my first shell so if anyone knows what this is and if this is worth , I'd love to know.

I really like the whites lug-wedge hybrid they have on their Perry hybrid. It snows a decent amount where I live and I've had pretty good luck with the hybrid tread as compared to the vibram Christy (though, it's harder rubber as well so it's not that much more comfortable than a regular rubber lug soled boot).

You fags insist on spending $500+ on boots because they are "repairable" and that means you can keep them for a decade plus. But the boots on average need repairing after just a few years, and the repairs often cost upwards of $300?
So what's the advantage over buying $100-$200 boots you can just wear for a couple years then throw away?
These $500+ boots don't look any better than cheaper boots. In fact they are often considerably uglier.

My thorogoods lasted 4 years. But I’m happy with my $500 whites. They’re more comfy. I had to wear insoles with my thorogoods for comparable comfort.
