>Citizen drunk/Finncel
Finnish. Alcoholic. Only owns one watch but posts a lot, mostly about alcohol or coins. Possibly immortal. Tragic case of gyno.

>Mortadello
Very positive, friendly but doesn't post anything of any consequence. Lawyer. Obese. Posts improving photos of amazing watches. Lies about his age. Does not take criticism well.

In my humblest opinion, Citizen Stiletto is indeed a remarkable timepiece that stands out among its competitors. With its sleek design, advanced technology, and impeccable craftsmanship, it represents the epitome of elegance and functionality in the world of watches. From its solar-powered movement to its thin profile, the Citizen Stiletto showcases innovation and versatility. It is truly a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence and remains a favorite choice for discerning watch enthusiasts.

That's kind of you to say but I'm actually deeply unhappy with my collection. I'm planning on selling off most of my watches or even all of them for something high end. Currently considering a Patek annual calendar, Patek world timer, Zeitwerk, Datograph, 1815 chrono, or JLC duometre (way cheaper). Any other suggestions? I am reluctant to go over $90k.

I've been collecting for 10+ years and never sold a watch but my tastes have changed pretty radically and most of them don't go worn so it's time to consolidate. Also I hate sports watches.

The Lange and JLC are head and shoulders above all the rest. The Cartier is nice and uses a Piaget 430 ultra thin movement but is too big for a rectangular watch. It was made before Cartier had their watchmaking renaissance. I have considered trading it in for a modern LC that is more appropriately sized, as is it is just collecting dust unfortunately. Also the movement is delicate and gets fucked up if you look at it wrong.

New San Shartin arrived, overall, very good finishing, got it at AliExpress black friday sales. Second watch from the brand, the other being a Seiko 62MAS homage with sellita movement. This one only has a basic Seiko NH movement, but apparently it runs at +7s,so pretty decent. There's definitely nothing wrong with consolidating, and all of your future watches are excellent choices in their own right. Keep the ones you wear the most, sell the ones you don't, and see what takes your fancy. There's a lot on the grey market, especially in that price range up to 90k; the only thing I might advise is to wait another 6 months; the cooldown from Covid watchbuying is still going on, so prices may come down even more. >"Grand Seiko SBGF, and the 8J movement in general was produced from 1997 to 2011 (as far as can be established). It is considered by Seiko to be one of the best quartz movements ever produced, much better than the equally well known 9F and much more stable and accurate. It was expensive to produce and parts of the design made it hard to fit into thinner cases. The more cost effective 9F movement on the other hand is less stable, not so resistant to temperature and magnetic fields and costs about 30 percent less to produce than the 8J. But, importantly, it is thinner, and uses more common parts, therefore the frame can be used for a number of other movements and watches.
>However, the 8J is, without a doubt, the most robust high accuracy quartz movement ever made. Even the fact that it had to be thicker works in its advantage, resulting in even better thermo compensation performance.
>The information coming from internal specs from Seiko in Japanese, on the 8J and 9F movements, is universal, saying the 8J was the last "cost be damned" very robust movement made. The internal feeling is the 9F is less robust, less accurate, less shielded, and, yes, some of them scoff at the lack of an independent hour hand with which one easily adjusts to other time zones on the 8J."
