Guide to posters

Major avatarfags
=============

Greek living in Germany. Cleans cars for a living. Has a Tudor, Homos and some Seikos. Life currently falling apart. Responds by getting more material things and falling in love with strippers. Precious metals investor.

>Citizen drunk/Finncel
Finnish. Alcoholic. Only owns one watch but posts a lot, mostly about alcohol or coins. Possibly immortal. Tragic case of gyno.

>Mortadello
Very positive, friendly but doesn't post anything of any consequence. Lawyer. Obese. Posts terrible photos of amazing watches. Does not take criticism well.

Compliling a very autistic list of tank style watches. Owns no watches.

>Two of Each anon
Autist of the highest order. Compelled to buy two of any watch he owns. Cannot explain why

To sum it up, people watch THE movie and the president's ball on the evening. Some visit the hero graves and watch the parade. Lefties and nigs go chimping out in the streets. Some just chill and drink (me, pic is for the occasion).

Think we could use a new /s/ thread.

They have to be large in order to carry enough lume, and that gives the designers a lot of space to work with. Additionally, they want to make something that doesn't just look like an obvious Sub ripoff, so they get creative and usually end up with something fugly.

It's the weird circle indices at 6 and 9, right? Because other than that, it's pretty darn good.

Personally, I'd like to see Swatch allow Longines to start making some of its old hand-wind chronos, like the 30CH flyback and/or 13ZN (picrel) movements. I don't care if they were expensive limited editions, I'd be the first in line to buy one.

He sold all of his rental property and bought a huge home in Florida for cash. No debts, he's 62 and just got married for the 3rd time.

In September he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma.

If your budget permits it, find happiness in the now. Be it a nice watch for yourself, a vacation to a place you always wanted to go or whatever the fuck Whoretadello is doing. No. For mechanical watches servicing means taking the movement apart, cleaning the parts, lubing them, and reasembling them. With quartz all you need is to change the battery and lube the gaskets. Unless it's vintage or something has gone wrong with it, there is no necessary service.

Actually speaking of my watch, I have a pretty gay story to tell.
When I went to pick it up at the jeweler's I was wearing my cheap Orient diver. I think it's called Kano or Kanu or something like that. My dealer was actually really wowed by the Orient since he had never seen one irl as they don't have a physical presence in this country. He really liked it and wished he could maybe have the place he worked at be an AD of Orient. I was confused and surprised that someone who handles watches worth thousands would be at all moved by a fucking Orient worth 200. But he was just really excited cause he'd never seen one.

Orient is most definitely a trustworthy reliable brand. Maybe not the one that would ignite some kind of passion in my heart. But they're good quality watches for the price. Also part of the Seiko group by the way since a few years now.

I suppose i see your point. Get that one for the classic diving watch style and get a more expensive watch in some other styling. Ive never been a big fan of the dots for time marks vs the lines like the orient but its probably good to have some variety in the mix.

If you actually don't know much about watches you should probably know that the Invicta pro diver is a meme and is for poor people who want a fake Rolex without actually getting a fake Rolex. Like, it's a joke where someone with an Invicta will be portrayed as a chad because it's a funny idea. But it's not a great brand, at all. In fact if we weren't on 4chan where irony rules everyone would shit on Invicta the second they're mentioned.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the ratings Seiko has on their website. They leave a huge margin of error because they'd rather leave a bad impression than have people complain about something being out of spec when it's +15 instead of +10.

I have worn a gshock square my entire life and decided to give this whole mechanical watch thing a go. I remember my dad had a Seiko so just found one I like the look of and went for it without doing much research. It looks great, I'll see how I feel about actually using it day to day. I kinda feel dumb now when I read about the accuracy of the movement it uses but whatever. Feel free to shit on my choice or something

I'm the one with the three 6R35s and I can say from.my anecdotal evidence, that all three of these watches lose/gain between 60 and 90 minutes a day. I only regulated one of them and now it runs within spec.
I can also attest that my GS has not lost or gained a single second these past 8 days of ownership even though they say that it's +-0.5 per day.
