I bought Sartorial some time ago and only had a chance to use it a couple of times but when I looked at the bottle today the liquid is almost at the level of the label. To me personally, AS feels much more calming and less sharp than the other two. It is pure joy. Actually, for me it is one of the most beautiful scents ever created. which does not necessarily make it a good perfume. To be honest, I rarely wear it outside of my house, but often in the evening at home, when I want to calm down and just enjoy. I picture AS as the empty, quiet halls of an arabian castle at night. Interlude is somewhat similar but gives me a completely different feeling. More dark and a little aggressive. LADDM is actually quiet different. It gives me more of a "daytime desert heat" feeling.

Depends on fragrance. For some it will just boost longevity but for others it will retain just some of the notes which will throw the whole thing off balance. I was recently looking for Santal 33 alternatives and bought a small bottle of Papyrus Molecoulaire. In the air, off skin, it smells ok but on clothes it has a very synthetic green carroty smell. I mostly wear lighter fragrances so I do 4, one on each side of the neck, one on each forearm right in the middle.
For heavier perfumes I do the same but just one on the neck instead.
That's my general guideline, but it also depends on where you are going. If you are wearing a bomb in a closed space with little air circulation you want to do just a single spray, whereas for the same perfume outdoors you can do more. Weather plays a big role as well.

I've been stuck on a dressed-up summer scent.

I've been tossing up Platinum Egoiste, Dior Homme Sport, or Eau Sauvage Parfum.

I decided against Platinum, I've been wearing Cool Water casually for a long time and want to try something different. Have Egoiste and feels wrong to have both.

Dior Homme Sport felt very suitable but the actual scent does nothing for me.

Eau Sauvage Parfum feels like it might be too resinous for summer days. I really like the bottle and would get the aftershave too if I went for this. I like the EDT but it performs poorly.

Maybe I'll just see how Egoiste fares in summer, excluding the truly hot days.

Targhee it's like a softer more gentle version of bon Monsieur, with a beautiful patchouli and airier. Performance is great despite the scent profile, I like it a lot.

Lignum has that really strange opening note and then dries down into a sweet citrus scent, reminds me of battito d'ali . It's nice but not my favourite from the house .

Vi et Armis once it dries down and the opening opium dissapear it smells similar to interlude in the air, with similar leather notes to coeur de Noir. Not versatile but it can work in some situations, because the sillage smells beautiful.

I agree with you that lignum is strange inside the line , even tho their whole shtick is making really strong impressive realistic openings with an uncommon note and then drying down into something else.

Nah, for me it's not the right comparism. Targhee is more a chypre than a fougere, more comparable with chypre siam, mousse Illuminee or tabac vert, they're in the sam vein. Bon Monsieur is in the same ballpark like Fougère L'Aube.

I guess I'd like a couple for daily use that is very versatile and similar to YSL Pour Homme, and a couple bombs for nights/cold weather.
