I’ve seen some tricker’s boots that I’m interested in but if I try them on then won’t they instantly crease within a a couple of minutes and wouldn’t this mean that I couldn’t return them if they did not fit?

In my experience they shouldn't crease from a couple of steps at home, its hard to actually tell if they fit by just a couple of steps though. I've had boots fit me nicely at home, but once i took them outside they felt very different. Might be easier to do it in the store if near you.

Thanks for posting - for context, the glove leather slipliner is cemented on tope of the poron insole, mostly for looks and tactile feel.

I'm not sure if I totally follow the comment that "the glue is coming up" but it looks like the edges of that liner are lifting up (likely due to moisture), in which case you would just need to reapply some contact cement to keep it in place. You can do this yourself, but a cobbler will likely be cheap and do a better job. Would also recommend giving more time between wears and/or using shoe trees if you're not already to help with moisture control!

I don't have any, I want one but my current shoe collection limits me.

I already have a dark suede PTB.
I already have a snuff suede Indy.
So what kind of suede chukka can I buy? Loden suede? I'm not sold.
Anyway if I was building my collection from scratch I would probably get a dark and light suede chukka for winter, same in loafers for summer, and just wear an occasional oxford if needed.

Ever since I read in these threads about lasting machines leaving a mark on the upper near the toebox I have not been able to stop seeing it

Asking a sneaker question here because I think i'll get better answers:
If I'm wearing suede sneakers (new balance asics etc) in a rainy area (pnw) should I:
Spray them with a long lasting waterproof spray and call it good?
Spray them with a short lasting waterproof spray and clean them constantly?
Don't spray them at all and clean them occasionally?
Also what kind of suede brush won't fuck up sneakers or what should my cleaning routine look like?

I know suede is not really storm welt material but I think it looks cool and TLB does really tight storm welts
Also their normal welts are super tight which is good for dress oxfords but basically makes them invisible. I kinda wanna see the welt a bit. And it's not like it's a huge shelf.

I spray my suede shoes every 6 months with saphir invulner mainly so that if i spill something on them it won't absolutely fuck them up
I avoid wearing them in rainy weather

I use a normal horsehair brush before every wear. I keep a small saphir brush next to my shoe rack just for dusting, I don't apply any creams etc with it so it's not fucked up.
I have a crepe and brass brush for suede but I have rarely (if ever) used them. Maybe good if you get them really dirty or if you wash them (there's suede soap).

Maybe that's their solution to that. Carmina also has a "flex goodyear welt" option. I never select it.
