Based choice.

Yes, buying vintage can be fraught and you have to do a bunch of research to make sure you don't get a dog, but on the other hand, the movements are very simple to work on for any competent watchmaker and even Omega themselves will work on it. Like, if you want to ensure that it's water resistant again, they will bring it back up to as-new condition.

Hi, shitting shitters,
I bought a CW C63 Sealander, but I don't know if I really want the watch. I just saw two Seikos that I really liked and I'm considering to cancel the C63 order, so I can buy one of them. One is a Land Tortoise, the other is a Captain Willard. I currently have only two watches: one 5KX for my personal use, and a FC Classics for flipping.
The next watch that I'd buy was a dress watch/GADA watch, but if I cancel the order of the C63, I would probably keep the Frederique Constant.
What's your opinion, /wt/? If I go for the Seiko, which one do you reccomend?

...sort of? It's extremely fashionable and a must-have accessory in certain circles, but it's also a significant part of watch history.
As a watch unto itself, though, it's actually pretty mediocre. The bracelet is uncomfortable and lacks adjustability. There's no water resistance to speak of. The movement was pedestrian until very recently, didn't even have hacking seconds.
