Major avatarfags

Multi-reply specialist. Canadian. Gay. Only posts about his watches. Very repetitive posts. Does not take new pictures of watches. Has several obscure Omegas only he cares about.

>Whoretadello / Degenerate Anon
Greek living in Germany. Cleans cars for a living. Has a Tudor and some Seikos. Life currently falling apart. Responds by getting more material things and falling in love with strippers.

>Citizen drunk
Finnish. Alcoholic. Only owns one watch but posts a lot, mostly about alcohol or coins. Possibly immortal. Tragic case of gyno.

Semi-regular posters / minor avatarfags
=================================

>Mortadello / Lawyersama
Very positive and friendly but doesn't post anything of any consequence. Lawyer by trade. Obese. Posts terrible photos of amazing watches. Does not take criticism well.

>Hamilton Drunk
Posts a single picture per thread before getting drunk and passing out. Owns a Hamilton. Works in television.

>Vintage chrono anon
Owns several vintage chronographs of various makes and is knowledgeable

>Nobully anon
Has rich parents who have bought him/her (poster is trans) several Vacheron Constantins and a GS.

>Cockwatch
Has one F-91W, has posted it on his cock. Mostly posts the Casio with knives or snacks. Russian living in Latvia with his mommy.

>Reverso anon / Reversocel
Has Blancpain 50 fathoms, a Rolex, Reverso. Dislikes avatarfagging. Major penfag.

>Tank autist
Is compliling a very autistic list of tank style watches. Owns no watches.

>Two of Each anon

Not really, I mean you're not going to wear an SKX or G-Shock to a tux event but that doesn't mean you need to buy an expensive watch. You don't need a Cartier, Reverso or Calatrava. You can make due with something like this. IDK what Seiko this is, but since its not a Grand Seiko it's probably like what? Under $500?

I don't know much about Seiko besides owning an SKX and some others that broke, I just googled 'Seiko dress watch.' I like how it looks but I would definitely change the strap. IIRC the watch is nicknamed 'Cocktail Time,' a deep brown espresso alligator strap would look pretty good on it.

It's actually a Zenith, and it uses the 5011K movement which was considered the most accurate movement of its class before the quartz crisis. The design was a combo design by Zenith where they took heavy inspiration from Breguet; the case is silver, and it has a display back. It's absurdly accurate; over the year, it performed better than my 0100. It was not expensive at the time, but I think the prices have gone up lately. It's certainly not "200-300" as the other Anon stated....lol The Waltham however will be around 1400 or so, depending on the condition of the dial and movement, since it's a Vanguard in side-winder configuration (which is more rare than the standard crown-at-12).

last time I heard this was a fucking meme and not true even since the movement would be plenty to move the rotor around, making it even MORE retarded since it actually has zero function for not being manual wind in space or on fucking earth
atleast that is what some yotubefaggot said in a video I think, or I read it somewhere

Just look for anything that says "Micro Artist" or "Micro Artist Studio" on it. Usually engraved on a movement plate or caseback.

Those are the very best watches Seiko can make and, in many ways, the best anyone can make. Seiko hired Francois-Paul Journe to set up their facilities.

Anything else, you're just buying catalog-filler junk.

Just buy it if you like the look? Personally none of them stand out to me. Like if someone were to wear one and walk past me, as a watch-person I wouldn't think twice about it. Nothing unique about it. I'd sooner ogle watches like Serica's 5503 (Soprod sucks) or one of Spinnaker's Bradner because the bezel is unique as fuck but the dial is generic and the beads of rice bracelet looks cheap. But that's just me. And as a rule I don’t do Microbrands.

The NH34 are 30 seconds +/-, the NH35 are 20-25 +/-. For that kind of accuracy you need to give up some reliability. Here's a comparison to something like a $10,000 Grand Seiko, the movement in there is guaranteed to be within 10-15 seconds +/- a day.

That would be within spec and not a problem. Unfortunately mine has a mechanical issue where certain angles can completely stop the balance wheel. The TMI NH35 movements I use in my paper dial watches don't have this issue; this should be embarrassing for Seiko. I should see if the NH35 balance cock assembly fits on the 6R35 caliber and try that out just to see if it's just the balance wheel assembly or if it's something in the train of wheels. I would prefer to not have to strip everything down and clean it so hopefully just removing the balance cock and cleaning/lubricating the cap jewels is all it takes. I really want to wear that watch more often because I love the dial and the lume is gorgeous but if it doesn't tell the time properly it's not worth actually using yet.

>going to a wedding
>love green
>already have a suit picked out
>thinking of marking the occasion with one of these two

Looking to buy next year.

Which one of these two should I get first?

Does anyone seriously use the chronograph function on a watch? I love how this Speedy 57 looks but I don't see myself using the chronograph at all. Do people who own $25-30k Daytonas use the chrono that much that they need to invest 10-15k more on a Rolex?

Same goes for the dressy watch, I already have a dressy watch but I think something like a reverso with an Alligator/croc green band would look amazing with a tux. That being said its for one day and I don't know if I can even remotely see a use case for the reverso beyond a few days in a year where the Omega would make an amazing weekend watch.
