Just bought a back up bottle of NYI. It’s my 6th bottle of it over last 10 years. Yearly sales season reminder: never take recommendations from anyone who hasn’t at least finished a bottle or two of the scent he recommends. I’m off for some vacations with my gf, have a lovely one lads.

Regarding Sauvage: it's an eau de rien, completely uninteresting, the fragrance that accompanies a thousand big four grad scheme interviews, the official fragrance of commuting to work.

We don't need it, we don't want it, and the world would be better if you'd all stop buying it (maybe try the far superior boy instead)

You all hate Sauvage because it's throws the reality of the world in your face every time you smell it.
Sauvage isn't brilliant, it isn't exceptional, it isn't magical. It is simply well put together, friendly, out going, doesn't quit and manages to fit in without changing in almost every situation. And that is more than good enough because the overwhelming majority of people love it. And this is documented time and time again, video after video and post after post. People love Sauvage.
Sauvage as a fragrance is what you wish you could be as a person, but aren't. Instead you'll sit around circle jerking the rare ingredients and exotic creations, lauding each other for your superior taste, looking down on the plebs who shower Sauvage with compliments. Why don't they compliment you? Isn't it obvious how much better your fragrance is? It's niche for gods sakes!
Nevermind that you don't actually understand what niche even means.
So you'll post and post, seething and pretending to laugh at your own wit each time you meme about Bois Imperial. But one black day you'll crack and do the unthinkable: You'll buy Sauvage. You won't post about it here of course, my god why would you? You have a completely anonymous reputation to protect! You'll spray it on and part of you will be ashamed and feeling transgressive, but a small sliver of you will feel hopeful for a change. Maybe, just maybe, today I'll be noticed. Today I'll get a compliment. I just want to feel what it's like one time, everyone else loves this stuff, surely there's one compliment left for me?
I genuinely pity you when you still won't get a compliment and are forced to confront the reality that even a jovial titan like Sauvage cannot mask how rotten, desolate and unappealing you are.

So keep shitting on Sauvage, spray your niche of the month or whatever arab oil is getting hawker now. Much like a tranny pretends to be a woman you are equally delusional in your claims of superiority. Cope and seethe.

My initial idea was then to have five recommendations per category

Went to an Abdul Samad Al Qurashi kiosk/booth yesterday. Tried a bunch of stuff, and I especially liked this one:
I think it's great but I had concerns about its longevity/performance, which is why I didn't end up buying it. Despite liking it a lot. Instead, I bought a 6mL bottle of pic related:
>store.asqgrp.com/us_en/elite-aoud-oil.html
Don't know how to describe this one. It's very oud-y but not as....stinky, I guess? Has just enough woodiness and sweetness to make it pleasant and not overwhelming. It's very different from my other oils and I liked it enough to bother buying a small bottle. And the price was alright. Not inexpensive but not outrageous either.

All you need is Sauvage. It is multipurpose. It can be used day or night, at school or at the office, etc. When I put Sauvage on I turn into a different person. I’m not joking. My back straightens, my muscles get tighter, and my balls drop even further. No, I’m not kidding. It fucks in the way that no other fragrance does, and it’s the type of frag to spit roast your girlfriend alongside aventus while you sit in the corner and watch with your baby penis in your hand, reeking of oud. Do I have Aventus? NO. I have Dior Sauvage. “What about the Sauvage flankers?” You may be wondering. Well, buy any one of them. They all have the same effect. They all WORK. Bleu de chanel SUCKS. Good luck getting laid or getting any positive attention with that. Example: I’ve had two girls in Sephora specifically say “omg Dior Sauvage is so outplayed, it smells like old man” when I was shopping one day. so I wore Sauvage around them the next time I stopped in. Guess what they said? “Omg what are you wearing today? It smells great!” Stupid bitch. I’m wearing Sauvage.

My compliment-getters are Al Haramain
L`Aventure and Rasasi La Yuqawam Pour Homme. Those get complimented quite regularly.
Most recent:
I was interrupted by the girlfriend of a client during our meeting as she wanted to know what fragrance I use as she wanted to get it for him (L`Aventure).
I also went to a theater with my wife a few weeks ago as a friend of hers got the lead in there. Afterwards we said hi and hi hugged her briefly and she muttered: "You smell so nice, why do you smell so nice?"
Both are affordable copies of expensive fragrances but give them a try if you have the chance.

I’ve been seeing a lot of discourse online about how this is a fragrance “everyone” has. That it is boring, soulless, metallic, etc. Well I live in Chicago and have yet to smell this on anyone else, despite it being a number one seller and (allegedly) worn by children and fuckboys the world over. Are teens and kids really dropping 150 bucks on this stuff? I don’t think so. Are fragheads who smell like CDNIM wearing this? No. The truth is, all you need is Dior Sauvage. I see some peoples posts on here, with 50+ frags arranged with mood lighting inside a cabinet or on a silver tray. Are you really wearing all of those bro? Who is this bizarre shrine for? What do girls say when they come over and see your collection? Oh wait, they can’t say anything because they don’t exist in your world, because you look like a hoarder freak. And no woman would subject herself to your sickness. All you need is Sauvage. My best friend collected fragrances and you know what? He is ashamed. Hides it from the world. His sick addiction. He doesn’t want women to know he is a freak. But Johnny Depp’s signature fragrance (Sauvage) saved him. Sold his creed, YSL, PDM garbage flooding his shelves to make room for the king, and the only thing he needs. Sauvage saved him.
