Then it's IRL shitposting, never heard of that? You are assuming many things there lad, that's the problem, you know two things about me and you created a whole scenario in your head about what my life is like. Does that make you feel better thinking that someone out there is having a midlife crisis (at 30 y.o nonetheless) by fucking hookers? What do you think, that I care about what a hooker thinks or feels? I pay her and she does whatever (Anything) I want her to do, that's her value, I give her paper and she is, literally, my bitch. Nothing wrong with that, she choose this path and I respect it or rather, I abuse it. I might be crazy for thinking this but, I think it's more cringe to let someone piss on your face for paper than it is taking pictures of jewelry on a womans ass.

>What do you think of the movement? How accurate is your watch?
That's my biggest critique. Out of the box it was terrible, ~20s slower over the course of a day. I had it calibrated by a local watchmaker but it didn't keep accuracy for long. I also had to send it in for warranty repair because the watch wouldn't let me adjust time and date. I always make sure to never set my watches near a date change.

Had it calibrated again by the local watchmaker after the warranty repair (they likely didn't bother with that) and now it's running fine.

Why have brands like Rolex, Tudor, Omega etc upped their prices even when taking in inflation on their products while the quality has been the same or worse compared to 20 years ago?

Not to sound pedantic but anything is worth only as much money as someone else is willing to pay for it. A Rolex still is, in some instances, critically undervalued in some models, like the steel Daytona.

That said, a Rolex from 30-40 years ago is definitely a much shittier watch when compared to one from today. The old plastic crystals, hollow bracelets, stamped clasps, printed dials have given way to marked improvements in all areas.

I think a lot of the bad feelings around Rolex in particular, are due to the shortages and difficulties in getting one, leading to all sorts of hyperbole and whining about having to suck the ADs dick, etc. If the prices as they are now were the prices, but you could go in and buy whatever you wanted, no one would complain, no serious people anyway.

You have the option to get another watch, rolex is just marketing and I never understood the brand anyway. Why pay so much for a watch with a closed back and no Guilloché dial anyway? To each his own.
I guess the problem is that, whenever the market share leader does something stupid and anti consumer, others follow. GS almost doubled their prices too. Look at the snowflake MSRP vs the White birch for example.
Same with Samsung following Apples prices. But just like how the android phones are innovating while apple stays the same, other watch brands are also moving forward. You can support that.

I agree that something is definitely odd. But problem with it all is that Rolex isn't talking and no one on the internet can quite seem to agree what the problem is or if it even exists. (i.e. is it a design flaw or does it only affect movements made within a certain period?)

For every one person complaining, there's a hundred people saying theirs runs fine, and ten thousand posters just repeating what they've read other people say, adding to the chorus. Even watchmakers aren't sure what the problem is, since they can't consistently isolate it and can only speculate.

I was wearing a fairly expensive watch and asked him point blank what it would take to get one so I think that's why he was honest. He couched it with a lot of fluff about how Patek is the best watchmaker in the world and demand outstrips supply and so on and so forth.

Worth noting it was an AD and not a boutique. I'd expect a boutique to be a lot more subtle about it. I've decided if I really want one I'll just buy used as I'm not intending on pursuing crazy limited high complication pieces.

Yes, it's very funny when anons get caught stealing pics from WUS.

Now, I don't think that every single picture needs to be timestamped. That's fucking boring, but if someone calls you out like >>17894649

For myself, I try to never post the same pic twice, which makes it harder for people to larp as me (it's happened before) and I take the pics seconds before posting so they're quasi-timestamped.

Some watches are simply too small. But you could, for example, easily wear a 36mm Datejust. Tanks wear small anyway.

Perfect name brand clothing and watches
Acceptable cars(no Toyota/Honda/etc.)
Acceptable house in an acceptable area
Sooner or later 2.5 kids sent to an acceptable private school where my kids were expected to interact with their kids - I'm still young but rumors are already starting to surface either I'm gay or I have mental health issues

I have no idea about current prices. These were produced in the mid to late 2000's, you could get a NOS one during the early 2016 primaries for like $50 on ebay.

I am a total wristlet at like 5.6 inches.
Should I just swallow my pride and buy the women's version of the watch I am interested in?
32mm vs 39mm, it's otherwise identical.
I already know the answer but it hurts, maybe I should also wear a dress and start taking dick too.
