This is on sale here, I kinda like it, but not sure about wearability, not sure I can pull it off with many fits.

Wanted to ask you guys advice, do you think this is leaning in to more "classical" type of clothes, suits, knits, etc. Will I have problems wearing it casually?

What do you think overall?

I'm not a big fan of rose gold usually, but i think when it comes to rose gold this might be one of the most versatile watches i've seen. Seiko is great quality for the price. Whats the diameter? Do you have the chance to try it on before buying? Think about if you like the look when paired with black leather strap. Think about the belts you usually wear. I can imagine it with knits and autumn colors, suits not so much. Casual black suits with rose gold is really bad (imo). Casual wear can work if you are not a loud person, otherwise it feels insecure, loud and compensatory (imo; think athletes, social media "male" compensatories, modern actors).

Hope that helps. Maybe you got some pictures of clothing you usually wear.

NTA, but your kids will cherish your watches because it's something they closely associate with you. Or they're expensive and they want to sell them when your dead. So make sure it's something that you love and will wear often or make sure that its expensive (doesnt even have to hold value because they didnt pay for it). This is honest advice.

I fixed them up myself and combined both are worth at least 1.75 mil, I want them to be able to have a home in this bullshit market in case it doesn't get any better. Or if they want sell they can sell them and live off the interest. Everyday I hammer this into their heads and everyday I am happy that they're learning how to save even at a young age.

It's literally porcelain, drop it and it shatters like a mug or plate. The problem is that the bezel can shatter in isolation when you knock it into a corner, while the case remains intact. Have fun with the cost of repairs on that though. Any other bezel would just get a scratch or ding, instead of breaking into ten pieces.

Ceramic isn't very well liked by many watch collectors, and the industry is going back to aluminium bezels.

Good question anon I was contemplating this after I wrote that gibberish. I think I personally don't prefer the all rectangle indices look. It looks to me maybe too cold and I like the mix of circle indices CW had in previous designs. Or even add some Arabic numbers. Then I also have an aversion to the hands overlapping the center like that, I am not sure the technical term. It's nit picky but at that price point for a poor like myself I would want to be totally on board with the watch. But that case shape tho is so good. Post pics when you get it, it is a nice watch.

Thanks for the answer, anon. I will post a pic as soon as I get my hands in it. If you are considering to buy one new watch, I suggest taking a look at the C65 Dune and some other watches in their catalog, because although I don't remember their name, I'm sure they have more models with arabaic or circular indexes.
As far as dials goes, is the painting on them any good? That's my main concern, since it seems very simple, if not boring. I hope it has more going on, like some light sunburst or deep colors.

>SEIKO makes it policy to usually keep a stock of spare parts for GRAND SEIKO watches for 10 years. In principle, your watch can be reconditioned within this period if used normally. (Replacement parts are those which are essential to maintaining the functional integrity of the watch.)
>The number of years that a watch is considered repairable may vary greatly depending on the conditions under which it was used, and normal accuracy may not be achieved in some cases. We recommend, therefore, that you consult the retailer from whom the watch was purchased when having them repair your watch.
>The case, dial, hands, glass and bracelet, or parts thereof may be replaced with substitutes if the originals are not available.

> A shocking amount (including luxury brands like tudor and omega, maybe rolex) will just swap out movements and then service the original movement later so they can put it in another watch.
TAG has been known to do this.
However if a watch has a COSC certificate or equivalent they won't.
The vast majority of swiss shitters, that aren't chronometers, will likely get this sort of treatment when you bring it in for a movement "service".
Quality brands however don't do this if anything because they're all certified chronometers generally by default.

No, not really, sweetie. You can build a decent franken for about 5k. Sourcing a donor watch isn't hard, but getting a case milled can be pain if you don't know a watchmaker.

Without any kind of verification and paperwork from Omega, you have to treat them as fake. Unfortunately, because the watch blew up in value, along with an easily reproduced dial and an off-the-shelf movement, all sorts of scammers started making copies. All you have to do is swindle one retard and you've made your money back.

Simple watches are easy to replicate. Just ask Panerai. They can't even tell their own watches from fakes.

That's actually another thing about that baby blue "dive watch," it only has 100m water resistance. Many of their watches just aren't built as tightly as you'd think they be. They sell $3k eco-drive 1 watches with fake screws in them like they're a fuckin nautilus or something so you'll think "hey, I bet that case is water tight!" then you check the specs and the water resistance rating just says "splash resistant." I get most people aren't going to be swimming with their watches, but come on, the bare minimum a watch case needs to do in 2023 is protect the fuckin movement.

I don't want to derail the threads anymore. I love watches and my personal drama(s) has/have no place in it.
You guys are right, I am a very lost man and I have to find myself.
With that being said, all I wanted was to make you lads smile a bit.

You gave the incels a chance to live through you.
You gave the happily married men a chance to laugh at your stupidity.
And for those who are neither, you served as a cautionary tale.

What more could you ask?

Too bad they're ridiculously priced.

The old ones were both better looking and more reasonably priced. The Baby Alpinist, even worse, only exists to fleece morons and wristlets.

you never posted a watch, though. all you do is get angry.
