Hey need help. Im looking for black sneakers that are of good quality and stylish. I thought of getting airmax 95 or ultra but im not sure.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
Preferably style of airmax, need to be comfy/able to run. I do use my shoes A LOT and most of them fall apart after a year(pic rel) so I really need sturdy ones. Price range 100-200euro

salomon xt6, or salomons in general is what you want unless you have wide feet -- they run narrow. they're the most normie and sneakerhead approved trail shoe so they'll be by far the least autistic/virginal to wear.
if you want an actual trail shoe. if you just want a normal sneaker with a lugged sole adidas nike asics etc sometimes will sell 'trail' versions of existing silhouettes.
going triple black makes it twice as hard to avoid looking virginal unless you're doing all black techwear fits or w/e.

>> No.17877616

>>17877588
i dunno about salomon's trail shoes i only have boots from them, but yeah i hike all over the place (north cascades) in saucony trailrunners. i do like salomon's boots though fwiw. the lack of ankle support is traded off for having a lot less weight on your foot. waterproof shoes suck boots are better for that so: lack of waterproofness is traded off for breathability and drying out fast. i take muh sources with a grain of salt but i've seen mixed academic opinions on if hiking boots help with rolling your ankles or not -- they stop you from minor rolls but increase the severity of major rolls and its debatable what side of that tradeoff is better. i will say outsole lug patterns being good or not is a lot more hit or miss and less standardized with trail shoes than boots, which is annoying, but companies seem to gradually improve them year by year instead of making them worse. i try to look for runners using vibram megagrip when i'm doing technical stuff, there's equally good proprietary soles out there but its reliably good. boots vs trail runners i wouldn't say one or the other is better i like having both, but i reach for the trail runners more often than the boots these days.

- wet climate winter friendly upper (ex: not mesh, not suede, not heavily perforated leather) that ISN'T gore tex
- $100-150, maybe $200 tops
- no nike, no adidas, ideally not made in 3rd world

Without dealing with stockx niggers my choices seem to be:
- picrel colorway gel-lyte iii's
- triple white gel-lyte iii's
- nb 550's but only boring colorways like triple white, white/gum, white/gray sole come without the perforated tongue & made in 3rd world

they will cost slightly more than you're used to up front but they're resoleable and the upper is made of the kind of leather that looks better as it ages not worse, so they're cheaper than disposable shoes in the long run.

if you want a cheap shoe though i'd do a 574 and compromise on the branding thing though.
if you have a veteran friend you can get a 30% off code from gel lytes are also an option, with code they're the same price as 574, narrower, better midsole, better upper, similar style.

cowboy cut regular or cowboy cut slim?
i just got my gel lyte 5's, they feel amazing on foot, they're a tall+narrow shoe. they definitely look good with slim jeans and i think they have enough chunk to look good with the wide legs. but i boxed mine up for a wrong size return so i'm just guessin. you want a bit of chunk/volume to your sneaker if you have the wide leg/standard cowboy cuts.

I like leather sneakers so I ordered 3 Koio's. But the last they use is for people with smaller feet and are not wide enough for me.

So I went with 3 new leather sneakers from Thursday Boot Company and they fit perfectly, especially if you have wide feet.

newfag here, why dont people like jordan mids?

>> No.17894207

>>17894184
the jumpman on the back is kinda goofy.
people don't like the air jumpman tongue tag.
all the leather on jordans is polyurethane thick coated shit stuck to splits leather but more panels on the mids are made of just full on polyurethane with no leather behind it. on all leather pairs the top of the footbox is so it creases bad and ages bad. and the heel area is non-leather so for some people it sags over time and turns into a ball sack.
and it makes sneakerheads seethe because you can buy the mids version of their giga exclusive suck me off colorway for $100 at the mall off the shelf any time with no exclusivity.
other than that there's nothing actually wrong with it, it gets disproportionate hate online. i don't like jordans in general but i have a little collection of mids that i picked up over the years to wear around known sneakerheads to make them seethe. over the years its kind of gotten to the point that nobody cares and some people are starting to like them, some colorways even go above retail now lol. i think the quality and a couple goofy parts about it will stop it from ever getting unironically liked by more than sickos like me and niggers (who love mids) like the jordan 2 is starting to be. nice cop >>17888377 there's nothing wrong with the jordan 2 and people should stop being cringe about it.

>> No.17894929

desu if you think about it dunk mids are closer to what jordan actually liked to hoop in than j1 highs.
think about it, the dunk high is a modified j1 high for collegiate basketball. the dunk mid is a modified j1 high upper shunk down to a mid height. jordan hooped in modified jordan 1 highs that were a mid height. dunk mids are just downgraded to the slightly different upper nike made to rip off michael jordan back then.
i think its closer to the real thing than j1 highs personally. not that you can hoop in jordan 1s in general by modern standards.

I hate obnoxious shit, and tend to dress clean. When I am not in formal stuff, I tend to wear just plain black or white shirt, and then gray or black slim joggers or medium colored fitted jeans.

I was thinking one of the white addidas, or nikes? What is in style?
