this is false. I see lots of fake brands worn by people and typically the deciding factor isnt how good looking you are but how naive you are. Some people dont seem to possess the aptitude in knowing that the whole point of hypebeast brands isnt what it looks like but owning exclusivity. I think for a subsection of people they just 'dont get' this. For whatever reason some peoples brains just think "well I can buy a fake off ebay and it looks the same AND its cheaper so its the same". In addition to this many of them dont understand the subculture that is completely held up by the authentic product so it goes over their heads so they buy fakes.

Its an intelligence issue. Ugly people are probably more likely to buy fakes since beautiful people are likely to be higher earners on average.
